This hotel appears well-maintained on the surface. It is an aging property and it appears management is struggling to keep it up. The room was clean, with good carpet, good quality beds, and new TV. The HVAC unit was quiet. The hot breakfast was good. Mine was a basic room, no frills. The switch on the bedside lamp was broken so I had to unplug it to turn it off. The fridge controls were broken. I checked the fridge temperature when I got up this morning, 18 degrees F. Nothing was frozen yet but I had to unplug it to prevent freezing. The sink drained extremely slowly. It appears housekeeping is not noticing or reporting problems?? I reported the problems in my room and they seemed to appreciate it----. Another review mentioned bed bugs. No evidence here. I asked management about it and they said that was a long time ago and they are especially vigilant to keep them out. Forgive and forget, as they say. If you like Mexican food, the Plaza Bonita next door is good. If the little things don't bother you, this hotel is a good value.
