“Not too much here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Stopped here to kill a little time before a dinner reservation. Several shops were empty, some were closed even though according to the hours on the window should be open. Went in some, not too much to buy. I enjoyed the olive oil store, that's about it. I guess if you are into wine tasting you would like it because there were a good number of those which I skipped. I could spend about 30-45 min tops walking through this town. I much prefer going to Jerome which isn't that far away.

“Delightful Old Town Cottonwood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

On the recommendation of a friend, we made the sojourn from Sedona to Cottonwood. We spent our late morning and early afternoon here. So delightful in that everywhere we went, our dogs were welcome, too. Great shopping, charming shops, and awesome Mexican food at Concho's. Best of all, your wallet won't feel the pinch like it does in Sedona!

“Antiques, restaurants, wine shops, and horses...oh my!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

On our way back to Jerome we stopped at Cottonwood just for a look -see. Considering what they have to work with they have done a fine job in the Old Historic District. Starting with the Route 66 filling station set-up down through the main street with antique shops sharing the block with inviting restaurants, wine shops and second hand stores. While browsing around, two folks rode into town on horses and tied them to the lamp post while they did their business...now you don't see that in Sedona!
The place was very clean, the people friendly and seem to know that part of their business comes from the crumbs off the table of Jerome. If you like antiques, second hand stores, or
a very good ice cream, Cottonwood is worth a stop, but it will be a while before it can claim it's place as a destination.
