“Love Those Playtex Gloves!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2010

Like the other reviewers, we have had similar experiences with Vince's. The first time we tried to go, we walked into the empty restaurant & were turned away because of no reservation... Ok. Next time we called & were sat in an old style red booth with the wax covered Chianti bottle & checkered tablecloth... We watched & giggled as waitress/host/dishwasher?(the gloves...) turned non-reservation tables away.

Our server wore pink Playtex Living Gloves through the entire service! Strange, but humorous. They were out of the first few dishes we tried to order. We split garlic bread- think Oh Boy! style. Salads were standard. I had an eggplant dish with marinara, hubby had chicken with red sauce. Both palatable. Sauce was good, not spectacular.
Go for the throwback decor & wacky service. But make sure to make a reservation! LOL!

“Snobsville”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2009

Wow! This resturant came highly recommended by the folks at the RV park where were staying. We arrived to find only three of the twenty tables occupied. The waitress asked if we had reservations which we did not. She said she could not seat us in a very snobby voice and turned her back and walked away. I was blown away to think that in these economic times and in this remote location, a business owner would turn away business. The food may be good but if you can't get past the service and attitude, what is the point. We will NOT be back.

“great food and great for memories.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2009

Its been there for over 20 years and little has changed. It has such a wonderfull old school charm wich includes old school booths, wine bottles with layers of candles on them and old plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Its a family affair and if your lucky enough to go on a busy night you get the pleasure of hearing the owners argue in the kitchen. That place is filled with so much love and wonderfull food. Best Chicken parm on the planet and for those who suffer from heart burn, there is magic in their sauce...NO HEartburn when you eat it.If your lucky enough to be there when they have Tiramisue..look out. your taste buds will dance. Its a must have!

“WOW! No soup for you!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2008

This place was an experience. The small restraunt had great food. The atmosphere was perfect.

The waitress wore rubber dishwashing gloves the entire time and said that we could only order one entree that had veal.

If you don't have reservations be careful the waitress does not like it.

If you call ahead don't expect to be called back. This reminded me of one of those restraunts where you expect to be mistreated, but are willing to do so for the food quality and because you are looking forward to the experience.

I will be back!
