First, thank you to all of the previous reviewers who steered us to this place. We've been to Sedona for six years and I think that not only is Harry"s Hideaway the number 1 restaurant in Conville but number 1 in the Sedona area. It's small in a non-descript little plaza, the "Thistle and Thorn", but don't let looks deceive you, this litte gems packs a knock out food experience. The normal menu features sea food, including two New Orleans style dishes, pasta, steak, pizza and more and more. Tonight there were also 10 specials. I had the flat iron steak, from the menu. I choose it blackened, but you have the option of grilled. The blackened gave you enough flavour and heat, without ruining your taste buds for anything else. I choose the scallop potatoes, another different option. They were creamy with a hint of garlic. They complemented the blackened spices well. My wife had the smoked duck pizza (a special tonight). it was thin crust pizza, with a mix of flavours ranging from the sweet to the smoked. I managed to grab a couple of slices. We ended the meal, sharing the carrot cake. Some carrot cakes are dry and the chef tries to cover it up with thick cream cheese icing. Not here. The mix of carrots, raison and pinnaple kept the cake moist, and the use of a butter cream icing gave a nice sweet topping without the heavy cream cheese. Since they aren't open on Sunday or Monday we won't have a chance to go back this trip - but I want the rest of you to fill the place, so this excellant restaurant is around for our next trip (oh and by the way, take everyone's advice and reserve - unless you plan to get there very early - it only seats about 20). With a name like Harry's Hideaway, you might be expecting roadhouse style meals, what hidden hear is a full on high quality food gem. Thanks Harry!
