“Good dim sum and Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

Wife had previously tried & recommended. Place is freestanding in a strip mall on Alma School/Ray rds. Place was jammed on Super Bowl Sunday , with many asian families, but staff handled it easily. Beverages were refilled promptly. Lots of selection from the rolling carts. We especially liked the calamari, pork buns, chinese broccoli and mini custard cups. The cups had an amazingly flaky crust. Place was very clean, as were the restrooms. This was better than average dim sum and we will be back.

“New Name, New Style, New Menu Means Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Oh dear, the restaurant has been redecorated and the menu has changed. I have many places as a USAF officer and grew up in NY. Chinese food is my favorite and this restaurant is WONDERFUL. I have eaten dinner here twice since it has changed its name, style and menu. I think when you walk into a Chinese restaurant and most of the clients are Asian--it must be authentic. Everything is fresh, varied flavors and if jelly fish is too authentic, look at the photographs on the dinner menu (the large menu) and you will find your favorites and soon to be favorites... We have had the Wor Wonton, Sizzling Beef, a type of combination fried rice, lobster in ginger and green onions, Kung Po Chicken,Cashew Chicken, Sliced Roast Pork... looking forward to trying the variety of other seafood dishes as well, not to mention the Roast duck. They also offer "hot pot" and there are also vegetarian offerings.

Wow, I just looked at other reviews--where did these folks eat? I had wonderful, prompt attentive service, it was clean... the families I saw were well mannered. I will be letting the owner know he needs to make sure the info and images on his business is updated.

“Taken as a guest, will never return, awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Atmosphere looked like something you'd see @ a wedding reception...round tables with covered chairs, all in an open room. The waiter was told upon ordering, the man wanted four different orders , in the middle of the table, to share! Waited for the FIRST order over 30 min. Asked where the rest of the orders were. Waited 10 more min. then two more arrived...when the chow mien young girl ordered did not come, was told oh cooking it now. Then @ the end came the rice. The service was ever so poor, the noise with kids running around screaming did not help with listening to the party of four. The friends who are/were long time repeat customers were surprised to learn the restaurant was under different owners and there was no liquor license. As a guest, I was grateful for the offer to share dinner; however, a total of over an hour before the manager got the drift of the setting with apologies, did not afford any want to ever return! Each of the orders were 10.99 or more.

“Yucko!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Let's set a few things straight here. First, the photo for this entry is NOT for China King; it's for another place entirely (which is obvious from the photograph, if anybody bothered to look). Second, China King, at the address listed, is NOT a buffet place. "Buffet" does not appear anywhere in its legal name, nor on its facade. OK, that said, if you just call it China King, the address matches, and it IS a Dim Sum establishment. But maybe I shouldn't get so wound up about a place with horrible sanitation and nasty food. It ain't like I'm going back. Not unless I want to be desperately ill. Again.
