“Good Hotel but "Watch how much you flush"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

What I liked best about the Radisson Phoenix Chandler hotel is that it is extremely close to my work and other businesses and people that I have to “deal” with. They do listen to me when I complain and respond appropriately.

There are a few very very minor physical “issues” that I hate to mention but to give a fair review, I must. Issues such as elevators that are slow and hot in the Summer and carpets in main hallways that need to be replaced. They could do this one floor at a time, if funding is an issue. Currently, the hotel needs to “Switch Out” all or most of the toilets in the hotel. I stay here often, and no matter what room I have, the toilet doesn’t flush very well. If one has children who use too much toilet paper or you’re a person that has large amount of…. #2, with toilet paper, you are going to have a messy stinky problem. Since I stay here often, I am aware of the flushing issue and flush twice to avoid overflow problems.

The hotel is the first entrance off I-10 & Chandler Blvd., (EXIT 160 off I-10 go West). It is next to a new restaurant “Marie’s” that has no affiliation with Marie Callender’s. Marie’s, however, does carry similar fare that was at the former Marie Callendar restaurant at the exact same location. There is no bar at this time in Marie’s as they are working on it.

The hotel is near Mitel, Intel, Honeywell, Target HQ, and other Tech businesses in the Chandler/Tempe area. Arizona Mills and Chandler Fashion square are not far away along with one of the Spring Baseball parks.

The Hotel has an extremely small bar area but the employee’s make up for the small area with great service and attention to the customers’ needs. The food varies depending on your tastes but you can get a soup and a small salad for under $10, not including tip. They have a large pool with a medium size hot tub (7-13 people could be in it comfortably).

The rooms vary in features and size. Rooms sometimes have a “Sleep Number” bed but I think they are moving away from this. Ironing board and Iron are in the room. It’s hit or miss as to whether you will have a refrigerator in the room. Important for me as I have medicines that I like to be kept cold.

Bathroom Sink counters have recently been replaced. Amenities are nice with a shoe mitt, shower cap, & mouthwash in upper tier rooms. Some rooms have a safe. Linens are fresh, of good quality, & replaced when dirty. Almost all of the rooms have a flat screen TV in them if you feel like staying in all day. Internet is free but, as with all free internet in hotels, be conscious of the fact that hackers love free internet sites. Parking is free with no hassles.

A belter than good experience with room for improvement/updating.

Don’t be surprised if they remember your name.

Clean, quiet street noise. Beds firm which I like. AC a bit noisy. Seems like they were booked up so breakfast was pretty empty when we arrived. No coffee, no juice, no fruit. Milk, waffles, two biscuits and gravy and a few eggs left. Cold cereal and a few sweet rolls left. Otherwise a pretty good stay. Would stay again if I could not find anything else. Used AARP rate.

Room Tip: They changed us from 6th floor to the 3rd floor do to potential AC problems. Outside temp about 110...

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our location is one of the high points to our hotel. Cleanliness is also very important to our entire staff and we will share your positive comments to the House keeping department. In addition we will certainly work on keeping a full hot buffet breakfast available during the service hours. Thank you taking time to let us know the positive and not so positive. We truly do listen to our guests to provide an enjoyable experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Radisson. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The grounds are neat and attractive. The room was spacious, clean, and very nice. So conveniently located immediately off the freeway. Even though we could see the traffic from our window, we were not at all aware of noise. Love the sleep number bed! And best of all, the cost was quite reasonable.

I was a bit nervous going into this hotel as I saw it gets mixed reviews but my experience was fine. The girl on reception was very sweet and welcoming, the room was large, clean and comfy. The location is fantastic close to Arizona Mills, the Premium Outlet Mall and many other places. Was a good stay and somewhere to consider for future stays in PHX.
I would have expected a free breakfast though, this was the only negative point

Our conference was at a more expensive hotel in the area, so we searched online and found this
Radisson. Friendly, helpful staff and quiet clean comfortable room. Breakfast was $20; previous comment says $6 at check-in, but we weren't asked about it at check-in. Plumbing around us was noisy. Air conditioner was resistant to efforts to regulate temperature for a day. Bed was Sleep Number. Good storage space and TV. Restaurant not open Sat or Sun.

Room Tip: hotel surrounded by highways, but noise not a problem in our room.

After having a bad experience at another hotel, I stayed here for 3 nights. It was a clean, closed hotel with admission through only the front door with 24 hr front desk. The hot breakfast buffet was $6 if paid for at check in, very nice with fruits, yogurt, waffles, eggs and sausage, as well as pastries, rolls, etc. Small bar with happy hr each night, dinner served as well if needed. Room was larger then normal, sleep number bed, lg flat screen tv, need to ask for room with fridge if neede, not in all rooms. Nice pool area, hotel is in a complex of 6 different hotels, right near major highway interchange.

Room Tip: Ask for a fridge ahead of time if you need one.

Very pretty lobby and large outdoor pool area. The heated salt water pool is wonderful! Very clean hotel with extremely friendly and accommodating front desk staff. There is a nice breakfast buffet each morning. If you prefer going off the premises, both Dunkin Donuts and U S Egg are close by on Chandler Blvd. This hotel has a very convenient location – one block off I-10 and Chandler Boulevard.
