“Fun, noisy, busy place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

This is a fun place on a Friday night. Fish and chips were good if a little greasy. Great beer selection, good service. People next to us had other dishes and said they were all great. Great setting, fun place, good food and lots of beer.

“Irish Pub in downtown Chandler”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Chandler has a nice little downtown area for walking around. We were going to the Friday night Art Walk and the 3 of us stopped in to the Irish Republic for drinks and appetizers. The greeters at the door were very friendly and we had a choice of sitting on the tables outside or inside. We sat inside at a table and were immediately greeted and had drink orders taken. The beer selection of bottled and tap is extensive. I got a Guinness and my female friends go wines (only a dozen choices of wines so not as extensive). After getting drinks we ordered 3 appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip (came warm with tortilla chips - a little salty but very tasty), turkey/avacodo bruschetta (very tasty), and sweet potato fries (cooked perfect - crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside - no ketchup required!). The decor is interesting - almost every square inch of walls covered with dollar bills that guests have autographed or left messages on. Probably a fire hazard, but interesting to look at. Also had ~6 TVs going on so there was somthing to watch. All in all, it was a great experience and will stop here again if looking for a nice Irish pub.

“Terrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Went to this place for breakfast, the place was not very crowded but still took about 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted anything to drink. After another 20 minutes the drinks never came so I finally asked for our drinks, iced tea (2) was sent back and so water it was. Food finally arrived an hour after we sat down, which was not worth sitting down for nor waiting an hour. The staff did not care about the patrons in this bar and not once were we asked if there was anything else we needed and had to ask for everything including silverware.
I have never not left a tip at a restaurant, so I would like to thank Irish Republic for being the first place that I have done so.
Stay as far away as possible from this place for food, maybe better for drinks at night.....not sure how they stay open.
I would'nt give this place a 1, but had to choose at least one.

“aka Murphy's Law”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

This is a narrow, long bar and restaurant that used to be called Murphy's Law. Apparently they are franchising or something so they've changed their name at some point. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat at the bar and read Trivial Pursuit cards that were in a box for entertainment on the bar. We only had a few beers and the Reuben Quesadilla. The quesadilla was awesome, basically a reuben sandwich, flattened Mexican style. Tasty. The bar is loud but a fun place to hang out with friends, and there were people eating outside on the sidewalk patio as well.
