We stayed in Casita #12. It had 2 bedrooms, 1 with King bed, 1 with 2 twins, and so although we were travelling on our own, our casita would have been an excellent choice for a family travelling with children. (My understanding is that the casitas all have 2 bedrooms, some with two king bed arrangements, which would have sufficient privacy for friends travelling together.) The kitchen was fully equipped, including china and cutlery for 4 - the only thing we would have liked that was missing was a kettle as we're really tea drinkers after the first cup of Java. However, the full kitchen meant we didn't have to eat out every meal and had a place to keep drinks cold. We did request maintenance for one minor issue, which was promptly addressed by friendly staff, and the reception area followed up to make sure it had been fixed to our satisfaction.
As a casita, there was no visible housekeeping, at least not during our 4-day, 3 night stay. It was up to us to keep things neat and tidy. Although this wasn't what I'd expected, I found it a nice contrast to wondering if someone was going to be popping in to check on sheets/towels, etc. The master bath had a huge tub with jets, along with a walk-in shower, while the 2nd bedroom had a walk-in shower and a French balcony. Each casita has a private patio or balcony - ours overlooked the first tee of the golf course, and from it we could see quail, road runners and mourning doves.
The pool was close to the main building, maybe a 3 minute walk. The pool is relatively shallow but good for short swims to cool off. There is also an onsite golf course that looked very nice, a pro-shop for the golf course and a spa, although we didn't make use of either this trip.
While we were there, there was no coffee for purchase - you either had to make your own, or pop out for a quick drive into Cave Creek (about a 3-5m drive, maybe a 15m walk?). We ate at the onsite restaurant one night - great staff, one meal was great and the other average. We ate in town another night and there were several choices in town if you wanted to eat a variety.
