After driving 6 hours in the heat through the desert we ended up in Cave Creek, AZ at Rancho Manana. Cute town and even cuter property. Checked in easily and were given our casita - 2 bedroom, 2 bath. We also had help with our luggage - everyone was very accommodating! The casita is amazing - beautiful - just what you would like your vacation home to be. Awesome kitchen, 2 master suites across the hall from each other for privacy, great view. Deck with table off of the living area near the kitchen, big tub in the master suite. Extremely spacious bathrooms. We are very picky people and this place met all of our needs. The Tonto Grill was delicious, great wine choices and excellent martinis, and the food was made exactly as we requested. The pool was just right after 115 degree day and though we did not play golf, the course was set in a beautiful environment. If you get anywhere near Phoenix, you must eat at the Barrio Cafe - nouvelle SW cuisine, casual, great service, AWESOME food, reasonable prices.

Contacted ILX resorts after seeing a promotion of Rancho Manana. Signed up 9/13/06 for four nights at the resort to take place December 25-29, 2006. It would include a 90 minute promotion of ILX resorts. Arrived 12/25/06 to find our reservations had been cancelled by the ILX resorts and we had not been contacted via email or phone. Rancho Manana appeared to be lovely. We never saw the inside of a unit. We did play the golf course and it was beautiful and challenging. There were three of us traveling and it involved plane flights. Our money was returned but we have never been informed by the person who cancelled our trip why we were not informed.

We visited Rancho Manana a few months ago, from the Isle of Man, in Great Britain where the weather is more often than not, windy and wet! But what a contrast here! Constant sunshine, low winds and exquisite ambience. We stayed in one of the superbly furnished and comfortable casitas for two weeks and loved every minute of it. The resort had a fantastic gym and pool area - perfect for working off the extra pounds gained eating in the Tonto Bar and Grill on the development. The other wonderful thing was that there was plenty of room, no overcrowding as often seen in European spas/resorts. My husband Rob played golf and thought the quality of the course excellent and also very challenging - especially watching out for rattlesnakes! The surrounding area of Cave Creek was charming with a wild west feel to it. There were excellent facilities locally at SpurCross Ranch to go horse-riding (western style) and I even got Rob on board - quite an achievement!

The perfect holiday, so much so, that we have booked two weeks for 2007 and can't wait to get back there!

We spent two nights here in January and loved it! The condo/villas are very nicely decorated in a southwest style. We had the 2 bedroom unit and each bedroom had it's own luxurious bath, one with a soaker tub and shower and the other with a shower. The kitchen was fully equiped down to a gas range and margarita glasses! There is a spa and golf course on site as well as the Tonto Bar and Grill all of which we enjoyed very much. You could just stay at the resort but the towns of Cave Creek (a little wild west) and Carefree (more artsy) are both just a few mins away. Check out the "Town Dump" a very unique store in Cave Creek if you visit.
