A group of us, 8 to be exact, had lunch at Palo Verde. It was a delight! (We had only heard about it from reviews on TripAdvisor :-).
The staff was wonderful, the round room was inviting, and the food was delicious.
It seemed like everyone had some sort of coffee, cappuccino or latte, and everyone RAVED about how good it was. I had their regular brewed coffee, black, and it was really good. We were very impressed, as it's usually not that good unless you go to a real coffee house.
Besides the coffees, everyone enjoyed the Tex-Mex lunch selections. I had the fish tacos, and they were so accommodating to my food allergies . . . just wonderful. The food was flavorful, and they were willing to make dishes extra spicy or more mello.
Maybe it's because it's a Waldorf Astoria Resort, but the staff and all the people working there were incredible . . . so friendly and willing to go the extra mile.
The surroundings at Palo Verde were gorgeous. There was outdoor seating, but it was a little cool the day we were there, so we didn't enjoy the patio as we would have liked, opting instead for the indoors. The views were gorgeous, even from the inside.
A little tip when entering The Boulders Resort to get to Palo Verde . . . . After checking in with security at the gate, go ALL THE WAY back, sticking to the right. We stopped too soon, but were able to park by the tennis courts and take a shuttle to the building/lobby where Palo Verde was located.
