If you are coming to gamble or party then sure fine you'd be fine at one of the Laughlin casino-hotels. But if you are in BHC for work or just traveling through, this is definitely the best place to stay. I was stuck in BHC for 10 months for work (poor me I know) and I quickly grew tired of staying in the raucous Laughlin casino-hotels -- noise, drunks, smoke, 10 minute door-to-car time, another 10 minutes wasted going around to bridge to get over to BHC. So I tried a few places in BHC (BTW RUN don't walk away from Lodge on the River) until I stumbled across this Best Western. By far the best place to stay in BHC for the following reasons:
1. Only chain hotel. With a chain hotel you get a predictable, consistent standard of everything, and that standard is relatively high (that's why they grow to chain status). This place meets or exceeds any other Best Western I've ever stayed at in this regard.
2. Clean. One of the rooms I was in did smell a bit like dog from the previous occupant, but on my request they immediately did some sort of deep cleaning and despite my doubts, it was as good as new that evening.
3. Professional, helpful. All of the staff here including the owner/GM are super helpful and really bend over backwards to accommodate guests' requests. (That said there is one night guy that can be a bit brusque at times, but despite that he has still been helpful.)
4. Location, convenience. Right on Hwy 95, close to bridge to head toward Vegas, close to Parkway, close to road heading to Kingman. You park right in front of your room -- door-to-car time is like 10 seconds.
5. Price. Considering what you get I think this place is a tremendous value.

Highly recommend Best Western in Bullhead City, AZ.

Room Tip: I think first floor 135 and up are the best, no stairs to deal with, not near pool, and near front d...

the folks here treat me like family and I chose to stay there rather than at the big casinos that are nearby. they go out of their way to be helpful and are never in the way. need a microwave in your room, just ask, help loading your car, they are there before you ask. local directions and attractions, and who will treat you right. they always have the right answers and with a smile

The hotel is grwat and is clean. People have to remeber that Laughlin and Bullhead City are fill with meth addicts on probation and the hotel is not to blame. The police are. It seems every place relies on hired security. We were here 5 days and I saw no cops. Maybe they are hitting the glass cock, (crack pipe), with the guys that give this place. Bad name. Stay here. Phil the security maintenance guy will watch out for things and just be aware of your surrounding. Hotel is nice.

This was a free night purchased with rewards points. We were disappointed with the noise made by the a/c unit and the firm beds. A//c units were made by Goldstar which is no longer due to many problems and is now LG. LG tv's are nice.

What do you expect for $65 a night? It was clean, which is high on my list. The rooms were kind of dated, which isn't a deal killer for me. I'm not moving in, I'm staying in the room for a few hours a night. It doesn't need to look like a Pottery Barn inside. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean. The front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast offering was average. I would recommend this hotel for someone driving through, or to someone that is going to be playing on the river all day.
