I played two rounds at the Ranch in early November. First round we played in a high wind that seemed to blow in all directions. Playing from the Zinc tees increased the challenge a bit further.
Next time out we took it a little easier and played from the Silver tees. moving up a bit definitely brought different aspects of the course into play. I could see where depending on the weather and how far up or back you decide to play, you could have nearly endless variety here. We did find that many of the bunkers contained more rock than sand though and after discovering this, we decided it was not worth risking messing up a club to actually play out of most of them. That was a little disappointing because it seemed they could do better. The clubhouse atmosphere was nice and the food and service was good.
