“Great hip spot for coffee and dessert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Loved the clean, sleek, firehouse decor here. Plenty of tables, couches, etc. big coffee, dessert, and quiche menu. The coffee was flavorful, and the bread pudding awesome! I'd go back. This is a great local alternative to Starbucks. Nice staff and huge parking lot. Cool place!

“Coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

They have the best smelling place ever. Love the smell of the coffee roaster. The walls have so many different shirts from fire depts on the walls. Really cool idea. The pastries are delicious.

“What happened to this place?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013 via mobile

Firehouse used to be an awesome place to grab a light lunch in a busy-yet-laid-back atmosphere. Not anymore.

As someone has said, now they have gotten rid of their lunch service. I used to come here just for their tuna salad and was disappointed to learn they don't do lunch anymore. No lunch and the occasional attitude from staff has made this place less appealing to frequent.

This to be a busy place in the afternoons. Now it's empty and you can hear crickets through the Christmas music. I hope they're rethinking their decision to stop lunch service.

“Utter chaos.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

In Lauhhlin for a conference and desperate to get away from casino row, I sought out Firehouse for good coffee and breakfast based on its largely favorable reviews. There were a few tables occupied, and what I thought were staff milling about out front. I attempted to be seated by the 'hostess' only to be told they no longer serve lunch and I could order pastries or whatever from the counter. Ok, but while I waited for the person ahead of me to be waited on several minutes, two of the folks I thought were staff in the front of the house asked the 'hostess' for a manager and I realized they were reps from the well known deli meat purveyor whose name is displayed in the window of the Firehouse an has something to do with a wild pig. Meanwhile, a staff person with her purse over her shoulder walks up to the register to greet the guy ahead of me who has been waiting several minutes by now, apologizing for the wait (but evidently on her way out the door, regretfully doesn't wait on him and promises someone will be there soon). Can a girl just get a cup of coffee around here? Back at the front, having not received the visit by the manager they had requested, the deli meat reps begin to take their logo off the walls and windows, deli cases right in front of me and the guy at the register, and so forth. Can't make this up! 10 minutes into my visit I am still waiting for counter service, the guy ahead of me is finally being helped by an apologetic young woman, but the whole situation has become all too much for me, so I move on to the #1 restaurant on the Bullhead list, where the service is friendly and prompt, the coffee is fresh and hot, and breakfast is served within 5 minutes. Firehouse was definitely having a bad day, and has something to offer based upon all the reviews I viewed. Just wish I had a better visit, as I was really looking forward to that good cup o' joe and something tasty.
