Even though this course is connected to Sun City Festival community there is lots of land and open spaces. Although they are starting to build more in their Phase II now and building some access roads, which is good, but beware once done, there may be more housing around the course. We have not golfed here for a few years so thought we would try it out again. The course is in great shape, as most Troon run courses are, greens smooth, and the fairway grass is like a carpet, mowed just right. We did have a couple mud bunkers from the rains they had which were roped off. Those bunkers are very strategically placed and the only two, I landed in were soft sand so the bunker play gives a nice challenge to any level player. Just in case you may think of walking this course, best advice is don't do it. With the construction and the roads being built , also almost a mile cart ride each way from 14 to 15 and 17 to 18 and other long ones makes for quite a journey but a very nice pleasant scenic journey. Very enjoyable round that was only 3.5 hours. This time of year the snack shop closes at 11am and no cart girl so plan ahead. They have a restaurant and bar that can give you to go items, which we did not use, but have been to the Indigo Grill for dinner and that would be a different review which would not be highly rated or written here since this is about the golf course, but passible for quick before or after golf food.
