We had heard so much about Bisbee that we thought we would make it our second stop and attend Brewery Gulch Daze aswell. We stayed at Hotel Lamore and did'nt manage to sleep the whole time we were there due to no curtains at the window (nets only) no blind, nothing! There was also a window at the top of the door which let in light from the upper hallway ceiling light fitting which was kept on all the time. Our room had lots of natural light in the day time being right at the front but the rooms at the back had no natural light at all and were really dark in there. We had a nice room overlooking Brewery Gulch which was a mistake as we were to find out at 3am when all the bars empted out. A terrible arguement started up outside with loads of swearing and fighting plus the threat that if this person saw this other person round town he would shoot him! That was probably why there was a small notice on the door saying ring 911 if any disturbances are heard! Breakfast was ok, very much a do it yourself thing with juice milk etc kept in a big fridge in the kitchen. The staff only seemed to be there certain times so if you had a query it would be hard to find someone. Not the sort of place we would go back to or recommend.

If you want to listen to loud live band music until 1:30 in the morning - this is the place for you. We found the staff to be non-existent - if you want to feel like you are the only one in the building with no service this is your place. Breakfast was dismal, hard fossilized oranges in the fruit bowl, questionable milk and generally dirty conditions. Not great value for the price.

This is the best of old Bisbee. It is one of the finest old restored hotels, second only to the Copper Queen, and much more reasonably priced. It is the favorite of our family, with very clean rooms, fully restored to the 1920's era, and clean and comfortable. It is located in the restored Bisbee downtown area, within walking distance of the old bars of Brewery Gulch, and the best antique shops in Arizona.

For those fascinated by the old copper mining towns in Arizona, nothing beats Bisbee. The main street runs between the mountains on each side, and historical restored homes run up the hills. A beautiful place, away from big city, but with the charm of life as it was during the heyday of the old mining towns when Arizona was still a territory, not a state. Bisbee is my favorite old town in Arizona.

The Hotel La More, Bisbee Inn is also my favorite hotel. Not advertised as a Bed and Breakfast, they still have a nicely restored kitchen area where you can enjoy making your own breakfast in the morning. The refrigerator is stocked with all the necessities and you will find everything to make a meal. If you ask, I'll bet they would even let you cook!

Hotel La More is nicely managed by a interesting young man and his mom who have worked hard to restore the place and obviously display pride of ownership. I hope they continue to do well.

It's a very nicely renovated old building. It was our favorite place to stay because of the value until a few years back when they more than doubled the rates. Obviously the owners valued the place more than we did. We've not been back although we go to Bisbee often. A nice place, none the less. Clean with a slightly better than average breakfast.
