We have dined here several times since we retired to Arizona. We are both New Yorkers and know good restaurants. This is the finest restaurant we have found in southern Arizona (Tucson and south). The service has always been excellent, although a couple of times it took forever to proceed from dinner to dessert, Our meals have ranged from very good to memorable, with no bad ones in the bunch. The menu could change a little more often, however. Still, we plan trips to Bisbee only on evenings when we know Cafe Roka is open.

Thanks for coming from Green Valley over to Bisbee, we appreciate it. Since the owner, Rod Kass, is the working chef we have a consistent kitchen. The entree you order tonight will taste like the same entree you might have ordered three years ago. Consistency is not the hobgobblin of little minds as it was once said, but the it is the bane of many restaurants. How to keep a menu fresh, but still provide the tastes that customer remember from previous visits? It takes a disciplined kitchen to do so. If interested, look at a few of our responses to the recent past reviews, in one of them I address the menu change comments and why we do not change menus frequently, another bane of restaurants.
