“In the Heart of Historic Bisbee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

On a quick sight-seeing trip to Bisbee, we particularly wanted to stay in the heart of this historic mining town. My mom has some mobility issues, but can manage some stairs and walk short distances. This town is a challenging place for someone who isn't prepared to walk or climb stairs very much. This hotel listened to my needs, assigned a very comfortable suite with two large beds - one in a bedroom and one that was in a kitchen/dining/studio type area. We walked to the history musuem, the Copper Queen Hotel, and two different restaurants for dinner - all a comfortable distance for my mom. The manager, Sean, was so hospitable and personally showed me to the room and explained the amenities.

Room Tip: I can't speak to the other rooms, but Room 7 was great for three adults, if two adults are shari...

Great place to stay, center of Bisbee, close to the fantastic restaurant Roka. Loved the ambience. Like a huge suite, not an old hotel room. Super to walk to the 1000 stairs in Bisbee, to restaurants and galleries.

Room Tip: Loved the rooms on the East side.

Wife and I stayed in Suite #5, very spacious space, including king bed, large open kitchen and bathroom. Felt as if we had our own apartment rather than a hotel room. The location is great, walking distance to just about everything. Would stay there again next time we're in town.

Great Location, clean, has character...just a few words to describe Canyon Rose Suites. We stayed in Suite 6 which was perfect for our Valentines getaway. A special thanks to Sean who mailed my vase back to me that I left behind. Not just for your thoughtfulness, but for your hospitality. We enjoyed a drive to Chirichua Nat'l Park one day. Until next time...

Our Family stayed in Suites #5 and #8 for Valentine's Day. Suite #8 was so big that 6 people could easily stay. It has the full kitchen setup with dishes and a Formal Dining Table. It is so clean and quiet. This place actually looks more like a large apartment. It is located about a block off the main strip which is perfect. It is quiet and is within walking distance to everything. Parking is scarce in Bisbee and you are directly behind your place. The Manager Shawn was very helpful and professional. Room # 5 was also large with the full kitchen set up. There is plenty of space for two people. There was chocolate candy in the hall tray as well as chocolate roses in our room. They also had a large picture of filtered water in the fridge. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. The place is so nice and comfortable that you could just sit and relax. If we are in Bisbee again we will definitely stay here again. Management also had numerous magazines and Dvds available in the hallway for use. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: #8 is the largest room.

Just off the Main St. (Tombstone Blvd.), Canyon Rose is smack dab in the middle of Old Bisbee. Virtually everything you'd want to see/visit in the Old Town is within walking distance.
I suspect this is a converted Apartment building as rooms are large and include kitchens. There are only 7 rooms; book far in advance for event weekends. We've only stayed on weekends, but the rooms would be great for extended stays. Kitchens are pretty well equipped. Won't satisfy the chef's among you, but very adequate for most purposes.
Clean, comfortable rooms w/plenty of closet/storage space. Service has been great; though they are currently "in transition" as to management.
Downtown Bisbee is busy and car/motorcycle/foot traffic can be heavy on the street below (all rooms are on second floor, no elevator). This is an old building w/what I'd guess are large, original (single pane) windows. Unless you are a heavy sleeper, you'll likely hear some late night/early morning activity.
You can spend more in Bisbee and not come close to the qualities this place possesses. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Suite 8 is largest and includes a dining area/table that would accommodate 6. We like suites 3 and 4...

We picked this hotel because it's right in the middle of things, yet a block off the main street so quiet. It's easy to walk to everything from there. Parking is convenient, right behind the hotel.
We stayed in Suite 7, which has a bed in the bedroom, and another in the living room. It was roomy, except for the bathroom, which was very small. Everything was clean, and the decor was attractive. The beds were very comfy, and the kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We ate breakfast in each morning, so it saved us time going to restaurants.

We took advantage of the community washer and dryer in the hallway. $1 in quarters each for wash or dry, with free detergent and dryer sheets provided.

A few things that could be improved upon:
The wi-fi, which could not be received in our room. Do not stay in #7 if you're counting on internet.
Both the bedroom and living room have window air conditioners. The tall windows have wooden shutters. The shutters on the windows with the air conditioners must be kept open, day and night. So in the morning, the sun comes in above the ACs, and wakes you up. And at night, light from the streetlights and neighboring buildings comes in - that's more bothersome in the bedroom. It would be great if there were permanent curtains or shades above the AC units, to solve that problem.

We will certainly stay here again. Scott, at the front desk, was very friendly and nice.
You can't beat the combo of price and convenience of Canyon Rose Suites.

Thank you for the review! We were unaware that there was a problem with internet in Suite 7, but we have corrected this issue and installed another router in that part of the building. As far as the shutters, we'll see if we can find a better solution.
