“Educational!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

I really enjoyed this, I like all kinds of the "living history" types of museums. This had very nice tableaus showing miner's check in and pay station, another was for medical assistance in the mine.

“Sophisticated little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

It's an affiliate of the Smithsonian and that shows. Don't miss this! Great history of the town and the development of the mining industry and hands-on exhibits upstairs.

“Mining History and Great Collection of Mineral Finds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I love history, so I spent more time here than others. (I had to read all the displays and details.) Such dedication is not required however. Even with a short visit, you will enjoy the snapshot provided of the early days in Bisbee, with its TENS OF THOUSANDS of citizens.

The first floor focuses on mining until WW1. The second floor has a fantastic display of mineral deposits (pretty and shiny rocks that glitter in the light), which were mined in Bisbee a century ago and recently returned by the Smithsonian. Conveniently located at the entrance of the downtown district of Old Bisbee.

“Great history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

This was well worth the price of admission - we learned so much. This was in the old Phelps Dodge corporate offices - so the history occurred right there. I think adults and kids alike will enjoy this museum.

“The Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Was very interesting and the lady at the desk was very knowledgeable about the museum. It is very interesting how Bisbee got started as a town because of the mines. I couldn't go upstairs because the elevator was broke and that disappointed me.
