I and my wife stayed at this hotel in May 2002 and still miss this place. The hotel is beautiful and the lake view is breathtaking with the mountains in the back. Can't wait to go back

The prime rib was very thin, very well done and tasted awful. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and took a bite and spit it right out. I tasted it and it sure did taste rotten. When we told the waitress, we were treated very rudly so we just refused to pay for dinner and walked out. Prices are very spendy which I don't mind but the food had better be good and this definately was not. I do reccomend the MatSu Resort to anyone visiting Wasilla. They have much better food and service.

My family stayed here in July 2003 on the way back from almost a month in the bush. You can't believe how appreciative we were of having indoor plumbling! The Best Western Lake Lucille accomodated us very nicely with clean rooms in a comfortable setting. The lawn expanse by the lake front was perfect for letting the kids run around. We only wish there was greater water pressure in the shower and that all the pop machines were fully stocked. The front desk person was incredibly polite and perky. The continental breakfast was just right and located in the bar area with an assortment of minimuffins, pastries and fruit.
We intend to come back again!

Stayed here for two nights on our way back from Denali in July of 2002.
The view of the mountains is breathtaking. We brought our two person raft with us so we were able to row around the beautiful lake. If you want there is a seaplane next to the hotel that will take you sight seeing. The food in the restaurant was very good. I would definitely stay here again if I could.
