“Columbia Glacier Day Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

We did the kayaking trip to the Columbia Glacier. Everyone in the family of 5 had a great time. Kayaked through the ice field, and had lunch on on island surrounded by ice. Zack, Megan & Matt - Thanks for a great trip. We would definitely choose to go with them again.

“Great Whitewater Rafting of the Keystone Canyon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

Pangaea is now offering this 1/2 day experience that has not been offered commercially since Princess Cruises left out Valdez. This river is rated a III through this canyon. Since the river was quite high due to sunny weather the last few days, the Worthington Glacier was giving it's all. We skirted a "Hole" that probably would have flipped us. Pangaea has two 6 man rafts and brand new dry suits. Guides were very professional. The chaser driver took pictures along the way with our cameras.

“Awesome - must do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

We paddled the Columbia glacier day tour with Pangaea. The guides were a lot of fun. The views were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this tour/company.

“First Kayaking Experience a Winner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

We went with a group of 14 to Shoup Glacier on an adventure of a lifetime. Six of us had never kayaked before but the guides were helpful and my husband and I (both in our late 50's) did not have any problem keeping up with the group. It was a cold, rainy day, but we were outfitted with dry suits that kept us all comfortable. We did have to portage a short distance, but again, the guides provided ample instruction. We were literally the only people in the area, watching the ice crash off the glacier. We stopped for lunch right besides the glacier. The Tour provides hot beverages and snacks, we had brought snack lunches also which helped to fuel up. There is an hour and a half boat ride to the unloading zone for the kayaks which also provided us with wildlife viewing. Dress warm if the weather is cold or rainy!

“Kayaking in neverland with guide Sam Benoit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

As part of our drive-yourself trip through Alaska, we went to Valdez for some adventurous kayaking in the Prince William Sound. Well, this is a pretty large body of water and cold too but Sam Benoit at Pangaea Adventures in Valdez took us to the most beautiful part available: the freezing cold waters bordering the Columbia Glacier on one of the sunniest days in Alaska.
Sam was knowledgable, fun and safe. The skills you are looking for in a guide who takes you on full day of sea-kayaking in a remote area packed with lumps of ice the size of school buses. We had a wonderful time during which we admired sceneries you can only dream of or see in National Geografic documentaries. We can highly recommend Pangaea Adventures and be smart: ask for Sam
