We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brookside Inn. The location was picturesque with a huge yard bordered by woods and a brook with spawning salmon (with an occational bear ambling by- really neat!!!!). It was quiet and extremely peaceful at the B&B.
The home was clean and spacious with our own private bath. The breakfasts were delicious, filling, and were all homemade by our very freindly hostess and enjoyed in a lovely glass enclosed patio each morning.
The hot tub was a wonderful place to relax each night after a long day of enjoying the beauties of Valdez. The owners were very knowlegeble and helpful with ideas for things to do and see around town.
Our only regret was not staying a little longer in this little piece of heaven.

We had a great stay. The Innkeeper, Suzy, was very nice and helpful. We had a great room that was very private and quite. The breakfasts were very tasty, and were in a great sunroom with great views. We evan saw a bear as we ate. There was aot to do and see in valdez, and Suzy helped us find them. There is a cute hot tub out side with a fireplace next to it. Nice property, nice historic house that has been redone, nice innkeeper. We were very pleased with this B&B. There were other B&B in Alaska we stayed at that did not meet our expectations, so this one was a wonderful treat.

B&B is along the main road, just a few miles from town. It is ideally located to go to the other side of the harbor to see the wildlife as well as being convenient to town. Jill Conner is a wonderful host and prepares memorable breakfasts. Her recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing were accurate and helpful. The historic house is nicely updated and while not fancy the rooms are well appointed. There is some traffic noise but not as much as if you were in the city. Parking is ample. I would stay there again.

This b/b is right on the highway, easy access into Valdez. It is quiet, and the house is on a nice piece of property. The rooms are quite large, nice bathroom, with sink outside the bathroom area. There is a breakfast room which has a great view of the front of the house, and the living room has a tv/couches/vcr. There is wifi for those who bring a lap top. Breakfast is hot/cold choices, and there is a refrigerator for you to store leftovers or any type of food that you may bring in. The innkeepers are friendly, and provide a history of the area as well as restaurants and places of interest to visit. We stayed in the main house, but there are also separate suites across the way, but why pay more for the short time you are visiting.
