“I could walk right up to it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

While we were returning to Glennallen from Valdez, we saw this site and decided to check it out.It was nice to actually climb up to the edge of the glacier, and even take a few pictures of the water flowing from it. The whole area is magnificent and scenic. If you're in this glacier's neighborhood, it's definitely worth the stop.

“Limited visibility up close.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Due to the glacier receeding most guide books over sell this glacier as their reviews are out of date.
There is a good car park, walking track, and toilets; but the view didn't live up to the sales pitch.

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

A short hike takes you back in to view the glacier above you. It was very pretty and you can see the blue ice up there and a river of water flowing!

“Close up to the path.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

This glacier is a defiinate must see. Easy walk on paved walkway will bring you to a platform where you can get an excellent view of the glacier. If one wanted to hike out, it would not be that far to enjoy it up close and personal!

“Best roadside attraction!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

We visited Worthington Glacier the last week in July and walked right up to the glacier! It was absolutely beautiful. We saw many glaciers in Alaska but this was a highlight because of how close we were able to get. We spent a few hours here, although you could easily see the glacier and leave in 20 minutes. if you like the little things in life, you'll enjoy seeing the sparkly run-off water and finding all kinds of cool rocks :)

There were many maintenance workers there that day - it appeared they were replacing the older benches.
