We swung into this place after reading about it in the Mileposts book on the way back to Anchorage from Denali. The owner, Angela, was wonderful. They were out of the hungarian goulash when we stopped, i was really looking forward to that when i saw it on the menu. However, in its stead we had some terrific sloppy joes and another party there had some pizza that smelled like heaven. Also bought a loaf of german beer bread for the road. The joes were served with some locally grown greens in a salad, which was also very good.
The prices were reasonable- it's alaska, everything is expensive, but these were about what you'd expect to pay anywhere for a decent meal.
definitely stop in and grab something to eat here.
