“Good stopover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We stayed here on our Top of the World Roadtrip. The hotel is nothing fancy, but it does the trick. Free wifi in the lobby is pretty slow, but after days without internet or cell service we needed a facebook fix.

The room was tight. We had 3 single beds, but only 2 bedside tables. The lamps needed to be dusted and cleaned but linens were fine. The sink is located outside the bathroom so that made it easy for us to get ready while others showered etc.

The onsite restaurant was okay. Share one of the super gigantic margaritas with a friend or two (it's equivalent to 5!). We liked the buffet breakfast as well. It's not included but hearty and convenient.

This appears to be a stopover location for Holland America tours so depending on the location of your room and what time you get up in the morning, you may be somewhat bothered by the tour busses getting loaded up.

Save your money and stay in a tent! Room was very small, cramped, dusty and dirty; could hardly get into bathroom and close door. Really weird layout to room. Be sure to use lots of hand sanitizer. WAY over priced!! Part of HAL tour and that tells you a lot about this company.

Room Tip: There is no such thing.

Only stayed one night as part of HAL Cruise tour. Two storey buildings, Rooms are very cramped, bathroom was the smallest ever come across, no bath plug!. Very difficult to keep the mozzies out of the room.

Restaurant and front desk were across the parking area not very nice walk when raining.
Wifi was useless, very slow as were the hotels computers.

Only had breakfast, which was ok, if not a little crowded, but staff worked well.

The room was clean. Do not understand why the bed was directly in line with the window. Should have been rearranged so you could leave drapes open for light. Bathroom is tiny. Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. Stayed as a part of HAL cruisetour.

Looks alright but then you really start looking you see that the room was gross. Bathroom sucked. Hair in tub and on floor. The light switches were really dirty too. Didn't even want to touch the coffee maker. The housekeepers don't seem to have any pride in their work.

This is the worst hotel/motel I have EVER stayed at. The Red Roof Inn anywhere would probably get better reviews. In order to take a shower, we had to move the portable toilet tissue holder/stand out of the bathroom as there was no room to enter/exit the shower/tub combo with it there (without a dire injury occurring)! There were 2 beds in the room. In order to get to the far bed, one person had to move out of the "walk way". Beware using the sink if your partner has left the room & is returning. When the door opens you are slammed into the "vanity"/counter when you are hit by the door. There is literally no room to stand at the sink without risking the hazard of being hit by the room door. It was HORRIBLE!!!

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!!!!

After arrival we were quickly shown to our rooms, quite plesant and clean.
The room was hot as it was very cold ( for Australians) but managed to open a window.
Welcome to the restaurant was great, waiting for the food not. The manager tried really hard but it seemed nothing was working. the staff was either still in winter sleep mode or unable to cope with the workload. The food was great. To see the manager working himself into a cardiac arrest not. Again the excuse your the first group not everything is in place yet does not work. Please be organised way before as to have a pleasant stay for everone involved

Room Tip: Maybe a room away from the walkway
