“Great Hotel”

Lovely new hotel, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Good clean rooms, right on its own private beach, well equipped. Lovely pool, good variety of food. Entertaiment is limited but nice areas to sit and have a drink.

If you go to this hotel only take Euros as everything is priced in euros, and you can't change travelers cheques anywhere near.

This is a realatively quite hotel so not for people who like the fast life when on holiday.

They have some good excersions only a little over priced in my opinion.

Only one down fall too may Italians !!

“peaceful and relaxing”

This is the 2nd year we have visited this hotel, last year it had just opened and they have now improved it greatly. it still is not completed ie sports club but that did not bother us.

Staff are outstanding and polite at all times especially waiter in the lobby bar and a big thank you to Mahmoud Tayee Ahmed who gave us four mugs to bring home and delivered a bottle of wine to our room free of charge. The staff are trained to make you feel welcome and always greet you with a smile.

It was boiling hot and as you have no energy the fact that there is little to do did not bother us.

Very clean and great for a well deserved rest. I would not take young children at this time of year as 38 in the shade. Shops are expensive but am sure that as more shops open in the marina the prices will go down.

We have stayed at three corners hotels 6 times in different parts of egypt and they have all had outstanding friendly service.

My parents are now going in October as i know they will be well looked after.

Booked a last minute deal for a week, taking my husband, mother and 10 year old daughter. Marsa Alam is an area under development and there was nothing but sand for miles around the hotel, however this did not spoil the view - a stunning entrance via reception leading to a panoramic view out across the infinity pool and the Red Sea. Unless you are into scuba diving there is not much else to do here apart from soak up the sun which was not such a hardship!
The hotel is given 5 stars and certainly deserves it for the views, however it is a new hotel and staff do everything they can to please. The animation team try their best but there is little to entertain the children apart from the pool. Staff at the pool, in the restaurant, reception are friendly and will help with whatever they can.
As with many of the Egyptian hotels, you are often interupted by offers of camel rides / tattoos / massage etc but again they are polite and move on when you are not interested.
There were two restaurants - Chez Pascal - a payable restaurant for those on AI basis (never tried it) and the main buffet style where breakfast, dinner and evening meal are served. Fantastic carvings of fruit, bread etc to help with displays and there is a lot of variety in respect of salad items and couscous, if you like that kind of food. Food was hot and two 'stations' were often in use cooking fish or meat. If you are not a fussy eater then there is plenty to chose from but fruit selection was a little poor. My daughter, who is fussy, did struggle for a reasonable meal apart from pasta, ketchup and french fries!
The rooms are in blocks around the pool and towards the beach. They were comfortable and clean and all had a balcony. Our room had twin beds and a sofa bed for our daughter. The bathroom was a good size and had a hair dryer. TV had 4 English channels and the room benefited from a decent air conditioning unit which was needed after a day in the heat!
This hotel is still building but nothing disrupted our stay and the facilities can only get better - we would return but probably give the area 1-2 years to grow.

I have just returned from visiting this hotel on the 23rd July for one week. I went on holiday with a friend as an escape from work and stresses. I had read that the area was quiet, however this is an understatement completely! The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport which was well appreciated after a delay at the airport and the transfer issues. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and well staffed. We arrived at the hotel having discovered one of our suitcases was missing, nightmare for girls all round! We asked the hotel reception staff if they could offer us any help, for example take us to a shop to buy some clothes, they were rude and arrogant saying there was only the hotel shop which on our investigation should nothing but fake designer t-shirts and bags and belly dancing dresses, we bought a very shoddy bikini for 15 pounds and a tube of toothpaste for 5.50!!! we concluded we would have to just make do! Later in the week when the case was delivered to the airport from Hurgarda Airport we were sent to collect it at a cost of 35 pounds in the hotel taxi which appeared to serve most of the local area, no other taxi was available. The hotel takes the money for the taxi and pay the driver a pittance. The airport staff treated us like terrorists leaving an armed guard with us and barking orders at us. We later discovered from another rep that we should NEVER have been sent to the airport without our rep or a member of staff from the hotel, neither of them cared less!

As for the hotel itself, we complained after 4 days to the hotel manager that we felt that the hotel staff were being exceptionally rude to us and we believed this to be because we were both girls, we were given the impression we shouldn’t be out without a man! The manager was wonderful and spoke to the staff and there were some changes but not an overall change.

The food in the hotel is repetitive with a couple of themed evenings which are interesting !

The hotels entertainment is exceptionally poor with a man who plays keyboard and sings badly and encourages even worse singers to have a go ! Couple of shows with a handful of guests which were poor quality and about 45 minutes in length.

The local town is beautiful but even in peak season it was a ghost town, its also very expensive and you will end up paying more then you would in the UK. TGI Fridays, Costa and pizza hut a couple of shops and that’s about it. As pretty as it is you feel intimidated by the fact there are more staff there then customers.

When people say there is nothing there please take this literally, we went out on two day trips which were at least 2/3 hour drives just to get to places, there really is nothing there, great for relaxing by the pool but going to Egypt and not seeing anything but a pretty port and a hotel is disappointing, the only way to explore further like we did was to pay for trips out which were expensive.

Like other visitors in 10 years I would imagine it would be fantastic, they are very much trying to keep this area as an exclusive resort, however I know I wont be visiting again!

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at Three Corners Fayrouz. Would go back tomorrow. The hotel is fantastic. Very quiet and relaxing which is just what we wanted. There is still to be more added to the hotel which will be good.

Lovely big rooms, very clean. We had a fab view over the ocean, just as we had asked for.

The beach is very nice, lovely sun loungers. Only downside is that you are not able to walk straight into the sea, you will need sea shoes. However you can enter the sea via the jetty to see the reefs.

The staff at the hotel could not do enough for you, very helpful and very friendly. Especially Hamdy at the pool bar!

The restaurant offered a vast variety of food, however it is very continental. Despite this you will always be able to find something that you like. Don't be afraid to ask for more (on the meat etc), once the guys know you like bigger portions they will give them to you.

We got engaged during our holiday, when the hotel management found out they made this very special for us, with a cake and singing and dancing, very authentic!

If you are going with thomson and interested in doing excursions the hamata island hopping is brilliant, amazing snorkelling, virgin islands that are untouched and an overall fab day out.. The camel safari is unmissable. This takes you into a bedouin camp where you share food, singing and dancing, it is truely fantastic.

Overall the holiday was fantastic, we were sad to leave, and ready to plan our next trip to a three corners resort. If it is a relaxing, hot holiday you are looking for this will be perfect.
