“ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL - THANKS!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2011

THERE SHOULD BE A SEPARATE CATEGORY
– BEYOND 5 STARS – FOR A HOTEL SUCH AS THIS!
We have just got back home from our holiday at the 3 Corners Fayrouz Hotel, to the horrible rain in Poland but even such bad weather hasn’t distracted from the brilliant holiday ;)

Based on all of the previous reviews, we were expecting the hotel to be phenomenal... and we were not disappointed.
IN BRIEF - It has a perfect peaceful location, spacious and immaculately tidy rooms, friendly staff dedicated to making your stay special and little extras that make your stay so memorable. The whole hotel is like an oasis in the desert. The flowers and gardens around the whole hotel are absolutely amazing!

This is also an excellent place to enjoy the marvellous marine life of the Red Sea.
You will see brightly coloured corals and fish of all sizes and the sight is the best I have experienced so far on a house reef. I got to see Giant Turtles, Puffa Fish etc - I couldn’t name even half :)

The food was delicious and was something for everyone, they had a different theme every night, so all the decorations were taken down everyday and something new was put up to reflect the new theme and the animation team were brilliant putting on different shows every night.

Overall the STAFF ARE ABSOLUTELY A MAJOR ASSET to this hotel. They are always polite and helpful – nothing is too much trouble. Their attention to detail and focus on guests is second to none. The cleaning staff, restaurant staff - especially Karim from lobby bar, reception staff, in fact all the staff and service throughout the resort are outstanding!
It is hard to just identify one or two as they are all great but special mention must go to all animators who were absolutely fantastic.

And finally very special mention must go to the captain of this excellent crew - Mr Haggag.
You made us feel very special, as did all of your staff :)
You run a fantastic Hotel many, many THANKS!

The beautiful weather and the wonderful people who really work very hard to ensure you have a great time - it is no wonder that people return year after year. There's not much else to say apart from I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

This was our eighth visit to the Three Corners, and I can honestly say it is great. We visited in May and then again inJune (we don't seem to be able to keep away).

Everything about this hotel is excellent: Cleanliness, friendliness, beach, food, gardens and weather.

Mr Haggag runs a very good hotel and you see him everywhere.

Give it a try - you can't help but enjoy it.

This hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport but you feel as though you are in the middle of the desert as there is nothing around. I found the location quiet and relaxing. You can get the hotel taxi to Port Ghalib and a water taxi back. this is a lovely little trip. The staff are all very pleasant and cannot do enough for you. Food is of good quality with plenty of choice and the drinks package adequate. I especially liked the jetty for the snorkeling and the surrounding area where you can have a nice stroll. I found the evening meal very romantic as you can choose to sit outside with candles on the table. The entertainment team were very good with a different show every night. The only negative thing about this hotel was there were not many sunbeds with comfy cushions on them. The old blue ones make your back ache a bit after a while. Obviously people got up at the crack of dawn to get their towels on the good ones but it did not matter as we are beach people and spent most of our time there. Would definitely go back....

Stayed here in June and used it as a base for diving.
Room is spacious and clean.
Mattress is hard but simple request to the reception for adding a soft top is met quickly.
Service is friendly and helpful.
Food is adequate / good.
All-in formula.
Location is close to the airport (10 minutes) and a 5 minute car ride to Port Ghalib.
If you're not on a package deal in the hotel, you can get a taxi from the airport for eur 20 (ask a phone number for the way back), as price for a taxi via the hotel is eur 30.
There is a nice house reef for snorkeling, and possibly diving via the resident dive center at the beach, German-run Extra Divers.
However, in terms of service, professionalism, price, and diversity of dive sites I would recommend British-run Emperor Divers for certified divers. They use great boats for off-shore reef diving, not cars for shore dives. Free pick-up in the morning at 7:50 am, return around 5 pm. See their website for package deals.

The General Manager, Mr Haggag runs a tight ship and is often seen around the hotel checking that everthing is in order. It is evident from the polished floors as you walk into the reception that this hotel is well run. His staff do their utmost to make guests feel welcome and are helpful and friendly.

The standard of catering is excellent with a wide choice and there is no problem if you want to eat healthy because there is always cart loads of salad and there is always some kind of grilled chicken or fish on the menu. Meals are buffet style so you can have as much or as little as you want. At lunchtime, you can eat at the beach restaurant which also serves the afternoon tea. This is an all inclusive resort so during the week, I spent nothing and eat very well and enjoyed a few drinks in the evening. At the busiest time in the evenings, the mathematics of people vs waiters means that you will sometime have to wait to be served with drinks at your table. Having said that, waiters Ahmed and Shahad were just great all week and knowing that I had come on my own, they did everything that they could to make me feel welcome. There is also a beach bar, a lobby bar and a disco bar also serving all-inclusive drinks.

There is a gym and some exercise classes run by the animators who also tried to organise water polo and volleyball. To be honest, they find it difficult to motivate the Brits to move their all-inclusive bellies off their sun loungers. However, they are on holiday and if they want to lay there all day eating and drinking, it's their choice! The swimming pool was massive and well maintained. The whole place is in well maintained gardens with trees and massive sunflowers growing taller than me.

The reason for my visit was SCUBA diving and I was impressed by the professionalism of the on-site dive centre which is run by Extra Divers and not Three Corners. The resort has its own natural reef with an abundance of colourful aquatic life that can be seen with a mask and snorkel. You don't have to be a diver to see some beautiful fish but it is well worth taking the plunge if you have ever wanted to dive, the dive centre can offer you a try dive or a full certification course. I need not have worried about going on my own as most evenings, I was enjoying beers and comparing my underwater pictures with my German diving companions. The place was dominated by Germans and despite any pre-conceptions you may have about Germans, they were firendly, polite and humerous and made very good company.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with a fridge, kettle and TV and although I would not describe them as luxury (I travel on business a lot so I am quite spoilt), they are perfectly adequate. My room had a patio area and was situated right next to the beach. The rooms are in small blocks dotted around the complex. If you want a sea view away from the noise of the main hotel and pool, ask for room 6011 or one in that block. If you are a family, there is a block with adjoining rooms.

In summary, I think this is a well run, clean and comfortable chill-out hotel. If you are into SCUBA diving then you will be happy but there are no other sports facilities on site such as tennis, sailing, cycling etc, so if you are the active type you could get bored. If you just want to chill out, get a tan, do nothing except eat & drink, this is also the place for you. One point worth noting is that this resort is on the coast in what is basically a desert: you can't just go out shopping or explore the shops and bars. There is NOTHING in the locality and you will neet to take a 10 minute shuttle bus or taxi to the nearest place which is Port Gharib. Having said that, there is very little cause to want to leave the complex. Many of the guests that I met were on their 2nd or 3rd visit to this hotel; I would certainly go back and that in itself says a lot for the hotel.

Room Tip: Room 6011 or one in that block for sea view
