Just finished our stay,July 17th, in which you might say a nice builded clean Resort. Food was okay, clean rooms, lot of
swimming pools, wave pool and a large attraction coming up
their newly build Aquapark. It is completely suited for families and
also there is a lot of entertainment for both, adult and children.
This Resort is mainly Italian orientated and we experienced that
in some ways Italian were a bit more privileged then other guests. Maybe accidental but we had more then 1 occasion that it
happened in service tems. Main disturbing fact was the pool and beach rules the Resort does not apply to. We had every single day a early rise (5.45 Egyptian time) to reserve beds at the pool otherwise you were not able to get the ones you prefered. On July 13th we spoke to their guest manager (Mr. Ashraf) because we feeled they had a shortage of beds, which he denied. The Resort had 1300 beds around pools and beach he told us and 1200 guests. We made a 3 men bedscount and all we could count was 1052 beds. Simply said, I hate to be disinformered
for which it shows no respect to guests. If a manager wants
that his wife needs to be seated at the wave fool everything will
be done to free a parasol and beds at this pool. We experienced
this in 3 occasions in 1 week. Again no respect for guests.
Employees are under a lot of pressure and that might be the reason they were not always able to show a smile on their face or even say good morning. If you want a masage you might better get it home then at Akassia. I am an experienced masseur as well on Sport- , relax- and chairmassage, but here
they do what they think is massage. No interview regarding illnesses, high bloodpressure, pains etc. Almost 3/4 of the relaxmassage was done on 1 side of mine body, no structure what ever and most disturbing after one stroke the masseur told me he had found three points of stressed muscles. I gave this bloke a compliment because in all my years of massage I have never been able to make a conclusion like that in the way he did. My wife experienced the same thing even more the masseur told her she needed half an hour extra to relax the muscles better. Although we had made the appointment to get the massage the both of us in 1 room they seperated us under the excuse of 1 of the tables made to much noise to make a comfortable relaxing massage. The table I was put on made so much noise and was small sized I didnot feel comfortable at all. Because of the small sized table the masseur get so close on you, you allways got to get in contact with lower parts of his body you rather do not like to touch.
July 15th "the grant opening" of the Aquapark. How?. At 17.00 pm
an announcement by speaker at the pool and I quote:"Right now
opening of the Aquapark". I made earlier that day lots of pictures
on a distance of this park which was not ready at all so a big surprise for all us. The "grant" opening appeared to be three pools and only for 1 hour. Although the Aquapark is enormous and nice after it will be finished (do not know when) the management will have to look at some safety which was not done at the time of the opening. Pictures will show what I mean.
In the future you will have to pay for entrance and this could be
a lot of money if you want to visit the park more then once. In overall conclusion: Plus: Nice familyhotel, clean, entertainment, food (themebased).
Minus: Lack of respect by management, not familyrooms to small for 3 persons or more, stressed employees, massage, shortage of poolbeds, Italian orientated.
