i was there with my wife and kids the beginning of May , i can say that the food is very good . the staff is excellent and the resort is very clean and very green , i will come once againand bring my kids this time

Good place if you want to relax, very quiet. Good place for people seeking deep relax, not so good for adventure seekers - apart from diving experience.
The rooms are tidy, adequate for 4 star hotel. Food is nice but the variety is poor - good for all that are currently on the diet. The staff is doing their best and despite few individuals they are dedicated to their work. Special thanks to Irina, which we found very helpful and Josef - housekeeping manager - who was always there to help, even if that was above his competences or interest area. We've like it a lot.

not sure where these other people were staying at but i had a great time at this hotel. i spent 3 weeks there in march of 2011... mars alam takes a bit getting used to as you are really in a remote area.. the hotels ate practically cities of their own carved out on the beach.. every hotel along the water caters heavily to the italian and european tour agencies... best western was the only name i trusted so i took this one... as with all of the hotels there the rates are all inclusive of food and drink... (i don't drink alcohol so maybe i missed something there.) i didn't spend any money for food or beverages my whole time in the hotel... the scenery was beautiful as was the beach.. i went there to take a break from living in cairo for 3 months and made a side trip to luxor.. i had the best time running out on the roads.. i would recommend this hotel to anyone... can't wait to go back!
