We booked this holiday 3 days before travelling for myself, husband, 2 year old daughter & my mum. I was apprehensive about Egypt as never been before & heard many mixed reviews. However I am really pleased that we choose marsa alam over the other resorts on offer. As for the hotel, I have never stayed anywhere with friendlier staff, everyone was lovely & couldn't do enough for us,especially my daughter who was treated like a VIP. The ground of the hotel were really nice, pool area kept clean, always plenty of sun beds & all 3 pools were spotless. We especially liked the heated pool in the middle. The beach, which was just a short walk away across the road was lovely. Again plenty of sun beds for everyone, a hut to get beach towels, toilets, beach bar that served pizza, fries, salad & BBQ meats & a kids playground. My daughter even got a ride on a camel here one day. There is also a playground near the swimming pools where the kids clubs are, this was a nice area but could do with some sort of shading so kids can get a break from the sun.
As this is quite a small hotel the food on offer in the buffet restaurant is quite limited & we did get a little fed up by the end of our holiday as it felt like the same thing every night. This was the only downfall of the hotel though & tareq the food & beverage manager was brilliant. He offered to make my daughter anything she wanted if there was nothing on the buffet for her & she had ice creams on tap. We also had a complimentary Lebanese meal around the pool one night which was lovely & made a nice change from the main restaurant.
The rooms were really spacious, they had a separate lounge & kitchen area to the bedroom which was nice, could have been cleaned a bit better though, I found myself picking up bits off the floor even after the cleaner had been in. But overall ok.
We had a really lovely holiday, very chilled out & would defiantly come back again.
