We go away around three times a year and generally like to stay in 5 star hotels. Hardly ever write reviews, but this hotel is worth writing about, I have not experienced so much care and attention from soooo many staff. They constantly made sure we were 100% the whole time. We stayed in the suites and they were amazing, very clean, everything we wanted, would highly recommend the upgrade. We had little children with us and the heated pools were great as the sun went in around 4pm. If you were not happy with anything just ask, they will make those changes, the hotel is very clean and has lots of facilities, staff are just the best, food was really good, aquite resort but that's just what we wanted, a great holiday was had by all in our group.

Booked and stayed at Hilton Marsa Alam when it was ranked as no. 1. I expected really good hotel and services, but reality was different. Stayed last week of march, first week of april.
We came late night/early in the morning o we didn't get a room, but they gave us armbrands for all inclusive and offered complimentary free breakfast. After breakfast we got a room, which was nice. Check-in was fast. Rooms are big, really nice, decorative, huge terrace, everything nice. Only downside: no place for cosmetics in bathroom, just a little around a sink. Bathrobe - upon request. Free room wifi - only when it was windy :)
Resort is spacious with lot of blocks around pools. Swimming pool are nice, but you can't swim in the big one - it's extremely cold, no windbreaks next to sun beds. It was empty all the time. Another small cold one - same problems like with the big cold one. So during winter months you can swim only in 2 swimming pools. Small one - used for all day animations and loud music and bigger one - overcrowded. We enjoyed swam there during early evening.
Beach is no next to the resort, you have to walk few minutes or use electric train. We like walking, no problem for us, but can't imagine it during hot summer. Been in Abu Dabab bay before. Hotel beach is quite far away from entry to sea, you have to pass public beach every time. No jetty - they claim it is because of law, so they should protect and clean also hotel beach. But everyday you see tens of people - mostly Russians who enter the sea just direct from hotel beach, even there are boards and security men, who just hang around. No protection of bay by hotel!
Sunbeds are always reserved for all day, again quirks of Russians, no sunbeds policy. Beach bar - something awful, no cushions on chairs, long queues for drinks, slow and bad service. Food option -not only if you are vegetarian forget, choice and quality is terrible.
Same with another outlets in resort, no seating around small pool, and when ask gor drink to take it away, they won't let you take it, so you can drink only in swimming pool! During our stay of first week we were not able to eat outside due to heavy wind, so we had to ate inside restaurant which looks like school cantina - basic and busy. Next week we dinned outside, thanks to weather. Food is very repetitive, but we make friends with cooks, so we upgraded buffet to a la carte. Fishes and vegetables were always great. Almost none selection of fruit and dessert - if, very bad, change your chef for sweets. Another 2 restaurants - so called a la carte were located in lobby area, one next to another, next to reception. Poor service, food and choice.
Big plus was service from Ahmed - our "personal" waiter in main restaurant - nice and attentive.
Lobby bar is full of smokers. Non-smokers sofas are right next smoking, another bar next to lobby is very loud and again smokers friendly. No service, lazy staff. When you ask for drinks at bar you have behave badly to rude, to be served.
We found staff proffesional only at reception and some of them in restaurant.
Gym is basic, with running machine facing the wall - crazy. Spa - no spa, just massage service in massage box, staff always hassle in all resort, box is uncomfortable and hot.
It could be a beautiful resort, it has a huge potential - it's new, it has nice settings, but now it's just average Red Sea 5 star resort, which should have been 3 star.
We liked room, some staff at restaurant, beach (no problem with walking) and snorkeling (much much worse than in previous years); no more.

Weather conditions in area: last week of march - very windy, chilly and cold nights, need of windbreaks on the beach/by the pool
- first week of april, absolute change, no wind, hotter

I am sure that you will be able to see by the other reviews that that has been many additional services added to the hotel since your visit 9 months ago. Which includes many additional umbrellas and sun beds on all pools and the beach, which has resulted in no guests making comments concerning this issue.

It should also be noted that we can only protect the beach areas which are under the hotels responsibility and that the other areas of the bay are owned by private operators and not the hotel.

We hope you will have an opportunity to re visit us again in the future and experience theses changes

I loved this resort and definitely want to come back!!! The food was good and especially the entertainment team was really nice and friendly. Every evening there was a show, really nice shows! Also for children there was nice program. Even though the weather wasn't really really hot, it was nice to swim, because the heated pools were nice and warm. A lot of sport program throughout the whole day with the entertainment team, this was really nice. I cried when I had to go home! I really really enjoyed it, and want to thank the entertainment team and the rest of the staff in the hotel!

We went to hilton from 5/12 december?first of all thx to martin rogers for the perfect upgrade,Wow so cool.The hotel is very quite,clean and wel build.We loved to golf car for little trips to the room,becaus my wife and the high heels, is so nice ,but difficult to walk.the staff loved to bring us to the room.Concernig the staff,75 /100 was realy good,other i doubt if they are in the right hotel,Managers where very kind ,friendly an positive.a lot off faces are still in the hart,only two names we now,it's fabio mido from discobar and awad farouk,Thx again guys,you made our hoiliday special.The food....mixed feelings,one day oke other day rather poor.Over all it was a very good holiday and we go back within 2 weeks to pick us the hart we left there.succes 2 the team an keep going,see ya soon?grtz

Travelled with my wife and two kids (3 and 6 years old)

Overall we had a great stay. All staff very friendly always with a smile on their face. Great loaction with the Red Sea and snorkeling just outside the beach. Nice pool areas with two heated pools. They were heated to 30 degrees when we were there and that was a true blessing. They had lots of staff to keep the hotel and areas around the hotel clean. Also a very friendly "animation team" that entertained all guests with volleyball, water polo, aerobics/body pump, stretching-classes, and entertainment after the dinner. My kids enjoyed the kids disco very much. During our stay between the 13th-20th of December the staff in the pool bars were just amazing!

The only disappointment during the stay is the food. It's not tasty and the meat is not cooked that well. We were served chicken that was black (!) on the outside and raw in the middle. The Beef Wellington they served looked nice but was either very bloody with a raw pastry around or overcooked and the sauce? Why serve a dish like that when you can't make it good enough? But even a simple starter like tomato and mozarella and pesto tastes nothing. And the dessert... same thing there. Looks good, tastes only sugar. That said... I think you get what you pay for. Almost every night we found at least one dish that was ok cooked and tasted good. Usually the the food served for lunch in the beach bar and big pool bar were pretty good. Hamburgers and that kind of fingerfood. My guess is that Hilton is about as good as all other hotels in the area. Another strange thing is that it's an all inclusive hotel but during some hours, the only thing you could get was drinks. So between 11 am and 1 pm, no food served at all. Same thing from about 4 pm and 6:30 pm. That maked life with children a bit more complicated. It's almost like a full board with drinks...

One other thing I liked with this hotel was the mix of people from many different countries. That's pretty nice I think.

All and all... I had much higher expectations on the food, but all other services were so good that my overall review still deserved a 5/5. You will not regret a stay here and if you are lucky maybe the food is better when you travel here!

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the food offering in some of he outlets. Unfortunately we do not provide food 24 hours during the day and only have set meal periods. However cakes and drinks are offered during these times in the Noba and Axis Bar.

The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Particularly the reception staff, bar, restaurant through to the cleaner are all so friendly and polite. Spotlessly clean, safe and a great chose of food and places to eat. no tummy upset either! fabulous long sandy beach. Perfect temperature even in December ! I'd definitely go back again. Can highly recommend. A+++++

Good service, good food and Nice beach
The poeple of the hotel ar friendy and kind. Also the animation team do there best to Make the best of it. Winter season is a quiet time and there is still à lot to do.

Accept of the irritatted sales men trying to sale you massages and stuff
