Just got back from Sentido Oriental Dream Resort and it was a dream! Our first time in Egypt and we are so pleased we chose Sentido. Clean, beautiful beach, easy snorkelling, friendly staff. Christmas Eve Gala dinner was in a separate tent and it was magical. Half hour transfer from Marsa Alam airport. Three pools so you could choose to hear music or be quiet and peaceful. A few annoying hawkers on the beach but you can ask for a 'red flag' from the towel house and hang it on your umbrella to signal to them that you don't want to be bothered. Fantastic food, nice room, huge balcony, view over sea, interconnecting with our teenage sons (locked if you wanted it!). Not many negatives at all really. If I had to think of some it would be that there are hardly any English people so our 14 year old had no one to hang out with. Our older son made friends with Dutch and Swiss and was socialising on the beach til the early hours so not a problem for him anyway. The Dutch Xperience 'animation' staff were not at all welcoming to non-Dutch so that was a shame but not something to dwell on. It is completely isolated and the nearest town El Quesir is not somewhere you would go without a guide. On the whole I would say that if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing break with effortless snorkelling on a sandy beach within reasonable distance of Luxor for some culture then you will love it here.

Just returned from a very relaxing 11 nights in Sentido Oriental Resort.

Hotel is situated in a very quiet (ie remote) location, which suited us perfectly. The transfer from Hurghada is a good 2.5 hours - would suggest flying to Marsa Alam airport if possible to reduce the transfer time. Were met at reception with cool towels and drinks and the formalities were completed quickly and efficiently.

We stayed in room 212, overlooking one of the pools. The room was spotlessly clean, and the balcony was huge. The room comes equipped with a fridge/minibar - soft drinks are included in AI but would need to pay extra for snacks.

Was first time we had done an all inclusive holiday - and our impressions were very favourable. Excellent number of choices at each meal. We would have liked to have been able to try some local cuisine/specialities.

The pool and beach facilities were excellent. Khaled at the sun bar (at the pool by our room) was very attentive - and definitely makes the best cocktails in the hotel! There are plenty of sunbeds both at the pool area and down by the beach - and the hotel has a welcome "no reserving of sun beds" policy. The diving centre has an amazing offer, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

All in all a wonderful holiday - would definitely return.

Having just returned from our 6th visit to the Sentido in the past 18 months, I think that we can safely say that we very much enjoy the hotel. We have visited Egypt many times and we have yet to find a nicer hotel. The facilities, the choice of food and without question the staff are magnificent. A special mention to Anwar and Nagi and all the reception staff, all the Mohammed's, (pooll bar, beverage manager and lobby bar).Ibrahim and khalid (food and beverage), Hany,Saad,Rady and Monsour and all the buffet restaurant staff, Radwan and Tito in the Sultan bar, Tamer, Khalid , Omar and all of the beach and pool staff. Finally to three girls who look after customer relations, Irina, Kate and Anna, who always make our holiday more enjoyable with their help and attention. If I have missed anyone out, I apologise but the list would be endless. We hope to see everyone again on the 25th of December.

Food is delicious, rooms are OK (could be may be a bit bigger but it has no difference at all), swimming pools are also OK. A la carte restourants are free of charge if you have UAI. You just need to reserve in advance (on special computer at reception). We like Italian more. Animation teams are very good. Mini disco is fantastic (that's opinion of our daughter). Staff and service is great. I also like sauna very much. Free of charge if UAI. And finally sea... Great! The main advantage that you can swim in lagoon every time. There's no red flag or other restrictions. You can also go to the left (pass mangrove underbrush) or right (pass private villas). You will be able to admire deep reef in the "wild sea". First day we went left with my son and met 2 black skates (rays), one was huge! Really huge. On the right side we met dolphins just 1.5 m from us. The hotel is in the desert and you must understant that before going there. No shops, entertaiments, restourants, streets. Just you and beauty of Red Sea. We had great time there. I want come back.
