We have just returned from two weeks at this excellent hotel. The hotel is relatively small set in a resort complex surrounding a small inlet of the Red Sea. It is not beach side but it is only a two minute walk to the beach. The airport is modern and manages you well and it is only a ten to fifteen minute transfer to the hotel. The hotel itself trips over itself to make you welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are immaculately clean and serviced daily to a very high standard. We were upgraded to a family room and had loads of space. We had seen previously on this site, that there were no toiletries in the bathroom: untrue. There are two soap dispensers and all the normal shampoos and creams you would expect of a hotel of this standard.
Dining is buffet style all inclusive and again the staff are there to make you welcome. The chefs are on hand to answer any queries and field requests. The waiters do their best to learn your likes and cater for them. If I stood up to get something a waiter appeared asking if they could assist. They seemed to genuinely want to provide a first class service and were unfeasibly cheerful with huge grins on their faces. Dining was real pleasure. Choice of food was good and there was always something to tempt. There was always a Pasta station and an Grill station at dinner. There was also exceptional sweets which the chefs encourage you to over indulge in. I needed little encouragement.
The pool is small but good, there are loads of sun beds and towels are readily available. The pool bar opens early 0900 I think and there is an excellent poolside waiter service. During the afternoon staff would come round with fresh fruit, chocolates or other treats: difficult to refuse. My wife particularly enjoyed the ice cream. The bars served the normal selection of drinks and waiter service the norm. The local beer is excellent and a decent meaure served.
Several times a week during the evening there was an entertainer accompanied with a guitar and a beat box at the bar which was a very pleasant experience under the stars. There was also a nightly show put on by the Animation Team. They also hosted activities during the day, the normal Archery, aerobics, darts etc
The hotel has an excellent gym which we used daily, a couple of treadmills, a bike, a x trainer, a multi gym and a good selection of loose weights. There is also a pool room off of the reception. There is also Table Tennis , darts and a football table. There is lots to do around the hotel or of course there is the beach where you can swim, snorkel, scuba, volleyball, boule or just lounge around reading.
The hotel is excellent but if you are looking for the hedonistic med style party holiday don't come here. It is quiet, relaxed very peaceful and very enjoyable . If you want to relax and unwind and be spoiled this is it. We did loved it and will return
Higher rooms are quieter. The staff earn a pittance please tip, £10 Eygptian is about a pound sterli...
