“Perfect weekend getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

One of the best views of any hotel I've stayed in. Our room was light and spacious, lovely for a two or three night stay. We had to cancel our original booking due to illness but the staff simply let us book in again two weeks later. No fuss, nice and easy. The staff were happy to pass on local knowledge about walks, nearby restaurants, taxis etc. But the resort's own restaurant is excellent so there's no need to go far. Breakfasts were superb with plenty of choice.
We are not golfers but those that were seemed to be having a great time.
After we left my wife realised she had left a silver powder compact behind. The staff found it and posted it to us. Again, no fuss, nice and easy. We will be visiting again soon.

We stayed here for two nights with friends. The accommodation was excellent, the rooms were spacious and very clean with the most amazing views over the golf club onto Newport beach with the Preseli Hills in the distance. The food was very good with a good choice. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return but this time Neil and Jeff will take their golf clubs!

I booked this last minute - the day before travelling. Only myself and my husband were staying but we chose to stay in the 2 bedroom suite. We had a first floor suite.
2 bedrooms - one double with small and perfectly adequate en suite. One Twin - which wa the master bedroom - this had a massive ensuite with a separate shower and bath. There was a balcony leading off the master bedroom which overlooked the golf course and amazing views of Newport Bay. The view, I have to say was breathtaking. There was also a lounge area - sofa & 2 chairs and coffee table. TV with good choice of channels. In this area there were tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies. There was also a washing up area - plenty of crockery / glasses etc, a microwave and toaster.
We had an evening meal at the golf course - it was tasty and good value - not the most exciting menu but we enjoyed our meal and it was good quality.
Breakfast was cereals / fruit yogurts etc - unlimited tea and coffee you could help yourself to, and a menu of 3 cooked breakfasts. The cooked breakfast - with loads of additional toast was of good quality.
The staff were so helpful - they worked hard to make us happy. Excellent customer focus.
I would definitely stay there again.
Recommendations - if you wish to eat at the highly recommended restaurant The Golden Lion in Newport - book ahead - we went there and it was fully booked.
If you decide to go to Cardigan, take the rural road that hugs the coast - it goes through some really pretty villages.

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra for a suite with balcony - sit out and enjoy the amazing views

We stayed here for two nights last month for a friends wedding, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out , we could not fault one thing! The staff really are top class! The rooms have the wow factor and views to die for! The wedding was abs brilliant with staff working perfectly and tierdlessly allday! Even though this is a golf resort ,you don't have to feel obliged to take part. For a complete chill out break please try it, we will def be back for a short break, they have got everything just about right! Big thanks to all staff for a memorable stay you should all be proud of yourselves!

We treated ourselves to a night away and a round of golf. The hotel is more of a motel as you park your car outside your room and have to go outside to get to the bar and restaurant. The rooms are huge and we had a double and single bed-a larger double bed would have been better-as there was plenty of room! The view is fantastic from every room-overlooking the golf course and Newport beach-this would be hard to beat in any location. The breakfast was fine-excellent value for £80 for the 2 of us. We ate in the restaurant which was OK but the Golden Lion up the road would be our choice next time for eveving food..The most outstanding aspect was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff-they could not do enough. Would visit again!

Top location with stunning views. Went with a group of 20. Stayed 1 night dinner bed and breakfast with 2 rounds of golf.
Arrived early on first day, 11am ish, as rooms were available we were allowed to check in straight away!
Golf was great, very very good course. Evening meal very good, and nice beer

warm welcome and helpful staff, what more could you want.

We stayed here as a one off treat for ourselves after reading all the reviews on Trip Advisor the check in was not great as we had to wait for the person to finish serving at the bar to come and check us in we then made our way to the room which was on the upper floor and as it was getting dark we could not appreciate the view from the large window that night but what a great shock to open the curtains in the morning and see that fantastic view. The room was nice and big with everything you needed for a few nights stay. We ate at the bar and were a little disappointed with the meal as we were with the breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay but a bit pricey.
