Tikehau was our last island stop on our honeymoon. We visited Tahiti for 2 nights, Moorea for 3 nights, Bora Bora for 5 nights and Tikehau for 2 nights. Each island was amazing and had its own character. However Tikehau surprised, blew us away and by far was our favorite. The island itself is what true paradise is. The Pearl is fantastic. One gets to the airport and is greeted by Raphael who then coordinates everyone to get onto a boat. The ride is about 15 minutes to the hotel. Totally secluded and far removed from anything around, mind you the island only has about 220 natives. We stayed in an overwater suite which was spacious and initimate. There was the bed area, connected to a sitting area consisting of a sofa and table with chairs and then the beautiful, luxurious bathroom with both a separate shower and large tub. Everything was clean and brand new and the suite had a deck area which led straight into the water via a ladder. The room also came with a stereo/cd player and TV. What a room! You can have your own private beach area as no matter how many people are at the hotel you rarely see anyone- pink sand beach with privacy overlooking miles of aqua blue emerald clear waters. The restaurant had a variety of dishes each evening, your choice of fish, pasta and salad, the chef changing the menu daily all meals were delicious. If you are looking for true paradise, Tikehau Pearl is the place. We will be back and next time will stay more than 2 nights as we didn't get to experience any of the excursions, to see the birds, as we relaxed in our private suite and beach area taking in our surroundings and appreciating the Pacific. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous and tried to be of assistance as much as possible.
