The staff was very nice, the briefing good although English is their second language, and the diving was out of a rubber zodiac. We had to hold our tanks/BCs between our legs, and where we went was not far, but in 6 ft. seas. It all felt rushed and chaotic, and although there were a million beautiful fish, there was also much current and surge. We only made one dive, and both of us have been diving a few times a year for 14 and 25 years respectively. The other divers did see dolphin and mantas and sharks. The dive shop doesn't have much in the way of equipment; my snorkel broke and there was no place on the island to buy another one, although the Kia Ora hotel swimming pool had them to borrow.
