“Blissful”

Le Meridien Bora Bora

Jul 2, 2007

On a last minute whim, we decided to spend our last few days in FP on Bora Bora early June. This trip celebrated our 5th anniversary. Having stayed at the Le Meridien on Tahiti, we decided to transfer our SPG points to this property and purchased air tickets to Bora Bora.

Upon arrival, our every need was met exceptionally well. With all of the staff and amenities, we would never have guessed we were a last minute arrivals. Dorothy greeted us and showed us around the property
while our luggage was being transferred to our OWB. The property itself is simply beautiful. The view of Mt. Otemanu sincerely felt as though we had arrived.

The property has a lovely bar – perfect for watching sunsets. There is a lounge area equipped with a pool table. The beach is ample and offer loads of water activities. We had lunches and one dinner at the
property – all were well done. For our last night, we went next door (not technically) to Jean-George at the St. Regis. It is a high price
to pay for exceptional food, however well worth the splurge.

This hotel has two sections of OWB and all are seemingly well-suited.
The beach bungalows seem to be some of the best compared to other properties as they are adjacent to the lagoon. This lagoon is indeed something special. The outgoing GM Pascal had a special project years
ago to create a turtle sanctuary by creating an ecosystem while caring for the young endangered turtles. Sebastian – the resident marine biologist provides for the turtles and offers daily educational sessions to guests. This lagoon is simply just brilliant.
Know that by staying at this hotel, you are assisting with preservation of an endangered turtle species.

Suggestion (just one): We would have loved it even more if the property had a fitness center. Perhaps that could become a priority of incoming GM.

“Hooray for Bora Bora and Le Méridien”

Le Meridien Bora Bora

My experience in Bora Bora was simply magnificent and I owe it all to Le Méridien and the people in who run it. My experiences were all postive from transportation, to food, to booking activities, and to simply lazing around. The accomodations were brilliant and the staff wonderful. Of paticular mention is Dorathy, the guest relations manager. Her attentiveness to her guests even when not currently working was astounding and hard working people everywhere could learn volumes from her wonderful example. She was truely the peral of what is an outstanding resort.

Perfect hotel for any honeymoon.

While expensive this hotel was perfect for our honeymoon stay in an over water bungalows. Staying 4 nights allwed for us to get free meals and make sure to say you are on your honeymoon as you will get a discount.

Bungalows are spacious well designed. Ask for a bungalow at the end of the dock. While further to the beach, the water is much deeper and will allow you to dive from the deck...

Very nice restaurant over the water.

The lagoon on its dwn is worth the trip. It is a conservation center for turtles and you will get to see rays, barucdas, cloan fishes and of course turtles.
Beach is beautiful

staff very curteous.

This was my third stay at the LeMeridien Resort. I just can't stay away. Maybe it has something to do with my first wonderful experience there. The Bungalows are all renovated inside, and also painted on the outside which gives the resort a fresh neat look. One really nice thing is that on approach you can see people on the beach.I like a little bit more of a lively resort, and the LM is definitley that without being too much.
The staff and food were as always above and beyond!!!!!!!
Already got my Bunglow reserved for my next trip in September!

“Food is not good and roaches”

The location is of course beautiful. Can not complain about that. The hotel food was not so good. The buffet especially the breakfast was old and did not have that fresh taste we expected. The worst was the roaches. Believe it or not, I expected roaches in the room and in the hotel. Its an island! But roaches in the french toast?!? I never looked at the buffet the same way. The restaurant was all in all ok, but the food did not blow my mind away. I can not put too much "blame" on the hotel. Rather, my wife and I should of visited 2 or maybe 3 islands during our 8 night stay...we will next time. Some may argue that you are there to relax, not eat!
