“Best meal of the trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Hefty price tag but amazing food, service and ambiance. Had the crab wontons, yum, a local fish that starts with a P, can't remember the name (not parrot) but was INSANELY DELISH! Ice cream for dessert but at sunset is the key, amazing evening.

“No way this restaurant is #8 in Bora Bora...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

What are the top 7 then? This place is SPECTACULAR! On all levels. Yes. It's expensive. But everything is expensive on these islands. Like, wow expensive. Over the top. Yes. So, now lets get over it and eat. The service here was spectacular. I was a guest at the St Regis, so immediately as we sat, I was assured that they were aware of my dietary restrictions and would alter the menu any way they could to accomodate me. Both of us were beyond impressed. The ambiance is spectacular, the service staff are very attentive, and the food was decadent and phenomenal.
Top 3 reasons we travel is to eat. We ate all over the island in the 14 days we were there. This was the best meal we had.

“World Class !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

I could go on and on about how good this restaurant is, but I won't.
Simply and briefly stated, this place offers a spectacular setting, great food, charming ambiance and an extraordinarily attentive staff.
The servers are exceptionally pleasant and well-trained. Outstanding among them was Aline Engels who is worth her weight in gold !
If you are staying at another hotel in Bora Bora, ycu can arrange a boat transfer right up to the doorstep of the restaurant (it has its own dock) and you will surely enjoy a wonderful evening.
The food is innovative, well-prepared and satisfying.
We ate there twice and there is probably no more romantic spot in all of French Polynesia,

“Felt as if in anonymous big city total lack of warmth and regular menu not available!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

We went there having read terrific reviews here. The service seemed under so much stress and forced smiles and attitude. The chef had decided on a "spice market" week, which meant the regular menu was simply not available! There was a singer singing way too loud and out of pitch... We were not able to have a proper conversation. The food offered was good though. If you look for gastronomy in Bora Bora try villa Mahana, or St James, both much nicer feel.

“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

I had not heard of Jean Georges restaurants until we were seated at the table looking at the menu. My colleague informed me that he has a chain of restaurants worldwide, and prepare to be 'wowed'. And we were! Everything that entered my mouth, from the grain bread rolls, to the tuna entrée, to the lamb, to the raspberry cheesecake sundae, was just heaven. Perhaps because of the clientele it lacks the relaxed island warmth, and aims for a more sophisticated and stiff 'at your service' kind of service. The floor under the table was transparent, so you can look straight down to the lagoon and shark nursery. A memorable and indulgent evening. Delicious flavours, paradise location, impeccable service.
