Was disappointed with the accommodation.
We booked this on the day that we were due to stay. Having driven from Wellington, and arrived at 8.30pm, we appeared to have taken the staff by surprise when we arrived. They put the heater on in the unit we stayed in when we arrived, but 3 hours later, we could still see our breath inside the unit.
There weren't enough heaters for both the bedrooms (only 1 for upstairs), so thankfully there were electric blankets.
Overall, the experience was ok, but not anything like what we'd expect for $160pn. On checkout, when asked if everything was ok, I said 'Yes, apart from it being bitterly cold inside'. I would have expected an apology, but 'sorry' was never said.
It's an ok motel, but I won't be staying there again.
