My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate our 1st year anniversary last month. However our over-all experienced was a bit rough in spite of the bright photos and wonderful advertisement posted on their website… With our bad experience, i will think twice before recommending this hotel to anyone.
My comment below is based on our experienced, so it is the discretion of the reader/s if they will consider my feedback / opinion. It is not merely about grievances because we also enjoyed our stay by reading our book by the beach hence it is for the establishment’s improvement.
1.) The hotel had a promo and on their promo it was clearly mentioned that booking can be done either by calling the reservation department or send the “voucher” through their e-mail. Unfortunately their reservation personnel did not accept my plea on making us a reservation just by giving him/her the voucher code through phone; they insisted that as per their policy I should email them the voucher (opposite to their terms & condition in the voucher). At that time I have no access to scanner so I plea to re-consider my request since it is stated in their promo otherwise. My intention was to make a reservation immediately to get the room we wanted for our anniversary but we failed.
2.) Their reservation personnel would not answer on a first call, you have to keep calling at least 4 times to be answered.
3.) During reservation, we were told that the room we requested (sea view) is available but with extra charges and we accepted it. However when we checked-in we were surprised that the room is no longer available but then they will “up-grade” us in suit; the view was a parking area and the room was average so our disappointment was getting far on a first day!
4.) Swimming pool was full because it was weekend (Friday and Saturday) but the bad thing was they are allowing guest to smoke by the pool. We did not enjoy it because we don’t smoke, for us it is unacceptable for those that don’t smoke.
5.) Food was average except in Thai restaurant. They gave us complimentary cake for my birthday and staff sung the “happy birthday” (thank you!). Even though we made prior reservation to this particular night, the staff failed to place us on the table that has been reserved for us. They only figure it out after we informed them for the second time that we made a reservation.
6.) There was one breakfast that I ordered for tea to a waitress but it took her ages so we asked again another waitress; to our surprise the first waitress put it to another table without informing us.
7.) During check-out the front desk girl had trouble calculating the bill so it took us ages to finalize everything and leave the premises.
8.) The security guards were accommodating – they are the only department that deserves commendation!
