“Definitely worth the visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2010

What a stunning hotel. They predominantly cater for package holidays, we independently booked for 1-2 nights and ended up staying 4 nights. The actual hotel architecture has been so well planned it gives it a really elegant and unique feel to the rooms leading up the the really large pool, restaurant and bar area with birds buzzing in between. It too is right on the waterside and an easy walk into town. Musa and his team looked after us really well. It's a gem.

If you are booking independently, they might seem a little more expensive than some of the other hotels in the area but the difference is a free transfer from the hotel(+/-£30), regular free boat trips to the beach(100TL) and unbelievable service. Once you add up the cost for the extras the cost is no different to the others.

A must dine in the area is at a restaurant a few minutes from the hotel called - KervanSaray, Ocakbasi.

Go and enjoy!!

It was our first time in Turkey and we very much enjoyed everything really. The hotel was lovely, the people were friendly and the food good. Some of the scenery was stunning especially Iztuzu beach and the view from the top of Radar mountain was a sight to behold! We saw that on the "Jeep Safari" which was a great day out, but be prepared to get a little bit damp! The only small criticisms of the hotel are that we felt the TV should have been in the upstairs room, and one particular "special" meal we had at the hotel one evening was disappointing and very expensive! Oh and no drawers only shelves - but that's being a bit picky. However apart from that it was clean and comfortable, we loved the free air conditioning, gardens, and gondola-like boat owned by Rahmi the hotel owner which took us downstream to the beach. Dalyan was busier than we were expecting, but we enjoyed the riverside walk to the town which took 15-20 minutes, very nice and the town was fine, lots of restaurants all trying to get you to come in and eat, and some nice shops and inevitably some tatty ones too! All in all a terrific week, and we will go back to Turkey. Would recommend the Aydos as a good 3 star hotel.

First visit to Turkey, found this place on Thomsons website it looked good and we were not disappointed. The manager Raymi is around the hotel most of the time and is a very hands on person,in fact it is the first time we have ever seen the Manager of a hotel, the check in took two minutes the rooms were basic and looked a little tired but were clean and had everything you needed.Food in the hotel was good and a fair price, the hotel offers a free boat ride to the beach several times a week and also organises boat trips to the mud baths and bbq nights etc,l the staff are freindly and will do anything to help you.A nice walk 15-20 mins along the riverside gets you into the town plenty of places to eat and drink
A very nice place and one that we will be returning to.

Aydos hotel altough no frills is lovely little place to stay, only 21 duplex rooms, with lovely gardens and pool. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The food was as good if not even better than anything we ate outside. The stroll along the river bank into town was lovely with lots of places to eat along the way. The town it's self is laid back and charming. The Turkish people are a true delight.
If you want true hospitality look no further, people come back year after year, so will we now.

It is not just the hotel which exceeded expectation, but the location also. The hotel manager Raymi throws in lots of extras with a courtesy trip to the beach each day, as well as boat excursions for evening swims on the beach or in the lake, mud baths and hot pools and a barbecue on the boat, serving up food as good as you will get in town. The location has everything, a 5km sand beach, fresh water lake to swim in, hotel boat rides to the beach, plenty of restaurants, Roman ruins across the river and a short walk with a 5000 seat ampitheatre, mud baths, hot pools and seemingly permanent sun. The hotel provides rooms which include a room upstairs as well as downstairs, making this perfect not just for couples, but also families. We will go back I am sure of that....

We arrived at the Aydos Club having stayed in other hotels around the coast of Turkey - this hotel was really well priced and the accomodation was great, basic (but not too basic) and clean. Great pool, good breakfast, the only critiscism would be the food but there are plenty of other options locally. The staff could not have been more helpful in terms of playing with our children or just giving us information - there were great trips organised by the hotel and Rhami the manager was always around and there to help - would recommend it as a family holiday as there is a lot to do - we will certainly stay there again if we were in the area.

This hotel is situated outside the town and gives you everything you want in terms of location and relaxation. The staff are very friendly and will do anything to keep you happy. The rooms (although getting tired) are very clean and with air conditioning a haven from the heat. Breakfast is excellent with a good selection of cereals, jams, fruit, etc as well as pancakes and scrambled eggs. The swimming pool is the right size for the hotel (22 duplex units) with plenty of sun loungers and the garden (next to the river) provides enough shade when you need it. From the pool area there are spectacular views and these improve even more from the hotel jetty where you can also see Terrapins, fish, birds (we saw an eagle above the cliff on two occasions)and fresh water turtles (if you are lucky). The hotel runs a complimentary boat service down to Turtle beach which takes about 40 minutes – the ride itself is an event in itself. As well as this the hotel runs a number of other activities - the moonlight lake trip and turtle watching are well worth the cost. Although the river is one of its assets, due to the hotel’s closeness to the mud baths (circa 600m on the other side of the river bank) there is considerable river traffic between 10:00 – 16:00 with some of the boats discharging disco music – this is not a major issue but you should be aware of it. Its location outside Dalyan is an advantage – it is about a 15 minute walk along a lighted river footpath and you can stop along the way and have a riverside drink from a number of small restaurants.
The best way of judging the hotel is that although the beach is excellent I was just as happy passing the day in the hotel grounds with the views, the swimming pool and the snacks from the bar!
