17th August-31st August
This was our second year running at the Dalyan Garden pension, once again we fell in love with the place, Ercan and his family made us very wecome, it was like meeting an old friend again, the place is set in a stunning background of Mountains and fruit and cotton fields, the walk into town of about 20 mins is a fantastic walk, a couple of times walking into town locals would stop and ask if we wanted a lift but the walk is so good we declined and walked!
This place is so relaxing you can feel the rat race of home leaving you as soon as you arrive, the pool is fantastic and nothing better than at the end of a relaxing day sunbathing by the pool and then sitting in the lavish turkish cusioned sun house and having a cool beer or raki!! we dont want to tell too many people abouit this place because its our escape!! the food is amazing, and prices for beer and food are about the same as the town, and we found if you pay your tab every fews days you keep on top of it.... my highlight playing the turkish drums with Ercan!!........you will not be dissapointed!!

Booked intially for 3 nights and stayed for 14. Says it all really. The owners Ercan and Cathy have created a perfect relaxing peaceful and tranquil haven. The pension is situated away from town (5 mins on the bike or a lovely 15 min stroll)It is surrounding by fruit fields and farms and is set in a big beautiful garden complete with good sized pool and bar. The hammock is perfect for a late afternoon snooze! The Ozorer family welcome you with open arms and make you feel so very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is to die for and very reasonable priced. You wont get better Turkish cusine anywhere in Dalyan. We are already planning our return. The perfect getaway....

We have recently returned from our second visit to the fabulous Dalyan Garden Pension.

Cathy and Ercan who run the pension are fantastic hosts who have always been friendly and made us feel extremely welcome.

Set back from the road, the Garden Pension is a beautiful secluded haven, the perfect place to relax. It is very quiet with a large pool and plenty of sun loungers, all surrounded by palm trees to escape the sun if it gets too much!

The recently added small bar is where Ercan prepares very welcome cocktails, pimms and fruit platters for you to enjoy. Having these brought to us by the poolside were definately a highlight of the holiday. The bar is also great to come back to after a meal at one of the many riverside restauraunts in the town.

All of this is what makes this place so much more than an average B&B.

Our best summer breaks have been at the pension and we are already looking forward to going back for a third visit!

“Lovely Hotel but DO NOT run up an account”

Accommodation, garden and pool all extremely nice. The people very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that we were encouraged to run up an account rather than settling as we went along. There was no prices published or advised or nothing to sign against any purchase. It was all a very casual arrangement but we were told not to worry about it - it would be o.k. and we can draw cash from local cash machines just like at home. For three meals, all very delicious, the price of which again unknown but we were told by other guests checking out before us they paid £40 so we reckoned around £120 for our 3 meals, and a Panini each (2 of us) - the remainder of the bill being for several beers, few bottles of wine, glasses of wine, about 4 rakis, 6 Martini/lemonades and several bottles of mineral water - so you can imagine we were astounded on being told (again no account produced) that we owed a total of 800 turkish lira - about £300 - as much as we had paid for the 10 day bed and breakfast. If the meals were £120 then it means nearly £200 just on drinks. We were out and about every day and 7 out of 10 nights so it wasn't a great deal most evenings, a couple by the pool perhaps but again not that many. Ercan should update people on the status of their account as you go along - we cant believe that this bill was right unless he charges extortionate rates for all his drinks and bar bills. This tarnished what was a fantastic holiday, and I would go back to Dalyan but wherever I stay again - I will be paying for each drink as I buy it. So beware!

My husband and i have recently returned from Dalyan having stayed at this lovely 8 room pension only 20 minutes walk into the centre. I can honestley say its one of the few properties weve stayed in where the web site conveys an accurate picture of the proerty.
I booked the holiday and transferes direct with the ownwers Catherine and Ercan and arranged flights with Thomsons from Doncaster, all of which were smooth and efficient.
O/A we found our room to be bright, clean with a walk in wardrobe, where clothing and luggage were easily accomodated.
Breakfast (Bread, jams cereal) is served in the gardens directly outside the pension by Gourgan and Ercan ,who on seeing you emerge from your room immediately greet you with coffee.
The pool was large, warm ,and spotless with plenty of sun beds with cushions on!. The gardens surround the pool with several tables and chairs throughout, shaded by canopies of vines. There is a small bar where Ercan will prepare a light lunch should you miss breakfast.
The accomodation is B&B but Ercan and his brother like to prepare the occassional barbeque which is well worth staying in for.
If you dont fancy the 20min walk into town Ercan will arrange a taxi its only 5 lire and they are plentiful for the return journey.
The town itself has changed little since our visit in september 06, restaurants serve a variety of dishes and a steak meal will cost in the region of 17 lire and a beer 5 lire. I would recommend the Riverside restaurant, Ali babas and a small kebab/ pancake house at the end of town.
Dalyan is renowned for its mosquitos and i would have to say they are plentiful, wear long sleaved cotton shirts and trousers during the evening and you will be fine.
Dalyan is an area of peace and tranquility and not the place for teenagers expecting to party from dusk til dawn, Marmaris is about an hour away if your looking for bright lights and loud music.
Ercan says he is still learning the business and welcomed feedback, so here were a couple of things we suggested.
A boared on the bar displaying snacks and drinks available along with prices, the evenings he intends to barbeque so you can make sure your there to enjoy the truely turkish quisine, and the possability of a half board option for clients not wishing to go into the town.
Finally if your looking for peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings where yor not surrounded by large groups of people and screaming children jumping in and out of the pool then the Dalyan Garden Pension is deffinately for you!
