“Very neat and unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

Dalyan was a great little beach town with great character. Summer is probably super fun there, but crowded. These tombs are very cool and a must see if you're there.

“You have seen it in the picture”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Yes. It is unique. It makes you think about the class system existed even at that age. And also about the lucky tomb raiders!
If you have gone through the pictures of the tombs here or on another site, that is it.
A long shot from the boat in the river is all you get by the trip. You cant go anywhere near it.

If you are happy with it, please go for it.

Rock Tombs so well preserved in a wonderful setting, View from the boats and enjoy the experience. Dalyan has it all, good fish restaurants, a wonderful river for walking and such friendly people.

frustrating that you can't get up close to these. we passed these tombs everyday on the boat to the beach. I got some amazing shots especially at sunset.

“Tombs of the Kings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

The tombs sculpted from the rock face of the cliff across the river from Dalyan are from the days of the Lykians about 2400 years ago. They are literally a trademark of the holiday resort of Dalyan, Turkey. They are lit at night and make dining along the river especially enjoyable. To see this kind of Lykian tomb, visitors to the area can drive the back road between Ortaca and Gokbel where there is a single large tomb along the side of the road. You can pull over to the side of the road and walk a short distance across a field and stand right beneath the tomb and check out the details of its construction.
