We took the row boat from the harbour in Dalyan, then walked along the block paved road to the entrance. The ruins are well worth a visit and there are display boards giving information on all the different sections. It is worth taking a photo of the black map at the turnstile so you can follow the foot paths.
IF YOU WANT TO WALK TO THE TOP TAKE NOTE - the path up is not well marked and is rough shingle. If you look out for red arrows spray painted on the rocks and also bits of white and red tape tied to the trees, you will find the path. We had many false starts. The path is mostly in the shade, but I would still recommend going up before lunch, when it can get very hot, and take plenty of water with you. Not many people seem to go to the top, we were the only ones on the day we went, but the 360 degree view is well worth it.
