My neighbour had stayed at this hotel abour a month prior to us going. I had gone into the travel agent approx three week prior to flying to get a last minute holiday. We arrived at 02.30 Turkish time and after a speedy no nonsense time through Dalaman. We were whisked into reception and quickly settled into our room. Woke next morning to find that we had been put into a room right opposide the hotel bar - very large balcony always a winner with me. Looked out on to the pool and shock - at 09.30 no towels on beds. Were we the only ones here. We went to find the restuarant for breakfast and what an array of goodies and outside this lovely man making omelletts and pancakes - you choose what you want inside them. Binlik does not do dinner but i think that is a mistake - I am sure that this would also be a winner. We went down to the pool at the bar - there are two the one at the bar has a jacuzzi which comes on periodically - my husband who cannot take the sun as much as me found us a corner where he felt comfortable and I got some sun. The bar/manager came and introduced himself - Kadri - very knowlegable about local trips etc. The Binlik is spotless - everywhere you will find the staff cleaning - they are all very friendly and helpful - the receptionist is absolutely fab. They did a Turkish night - local children dancing - very professional and the belly dancer was fab too - my husband was sick as he has a sore back and couldnt dance with the very very able belly dancer!! this is a very quiet hotel not a lot for children to do - there were a few children but not many which suited us fine as we wanted a quied chilled out holiday. In the evening we walked down to the river to have dinner in one of the many fantastic restuarants - never had a bad meal - had lunch one day on the riverside and a turtle came up beside us and the owner went to get food for it - what a sight - just fantastic. We did the boat trip to Turtle Beach by local water taxi - costs about £2 return and it is wonderful. the hote is about 5 mins walk from the main centre. Yes the call to prayer woke us up the first morning and so did the cockerell next door but thats all part of the Turkish experience and you soon don't notice. Would I go back to this hotel - oh yes without a doubt.
