“Don't miss it, make sure you go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

We only went here because a friend had been. It's along the quieter stretch the other end of the village ie not near the mosque.

Also it's hard to see the beauty of the tables by the water unless you actually go in.

So romantic setting if you are looking for that.

Food great, starter and our mains both very tasteful.

Service good so we definitely recommend you go

“Location, Location, Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

Since it opened we have visited the Safran many times. Down a long entrance walkway the setting is sophisticated, stunning and once the sun sets it becomes a magical location, being directly opposite the rock tombs, as good as any you can imagine. Eser is an excellent host and along with Ali always makes us welcome. We spent 1 week from 6th June in Dalyan and will be back for 2 weeks in September. The Safran offers excellent hospitality, food (new menu for 2013) and typical Turkish service.
Thanks to all at the Safran for making us welcome see you in September.

“Exellent! The best Sea Food Restaurant at Dalyan-Turkey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Their famous hot appetizers are calamari, grilled fish, blue-crabs delight, and fish cooked on paper. The restaurant’s favorite is grilled octopus. Landscape is exellent, fresh seafoods. The eatery has hot and cold starters with a big variety of traditional tastes as well as fresh seasonal fish.
The restaurant is located by the river. İt has nice view

“The cat's whiskers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Delicious food, not just approved by the local cats. Superb setting opposite the illuminated rock tombs and welcoming service. When our son found the crab cakes a little sophisticated for his taste, they were replaced by more child-friendly fried chicken without a murmur.

“Sea Bass”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Safran was recommended to us by some local residents as THE place to eat sea bass. We were not disappointed. On arrival we chose our mezze from the display and ordered garlic mushrooms, aubergine salad and crab patties. The chef also recommended their own prepared anchovies. We were not disappointed. All the starters were fresh and extremely tasty. As a group we chose half a wild sea bass as our main course. It arrived grilled to perfection and was possibly the most delicious I have ever eaten. 1 1/2 kg of sea bass cost us less per person than we had paid for several much more mediocre main courses.

We finished the meal with turkish coffee and mint liqueurs, relaxing on the river terrace admiring the view of the Lycian tombs across the river.
