I have some mixed feelings about this place, on one hand the staff were lovely and the food was actually really very good. However the lake has been ruined and on our visit one early September evening was frankly full of rubbish (empty bottles, sweet packets etc).
Upon arrival for the Turkish Themed night at Lay Lay we were initially taken with how impressive the place looks, but on closer inspection a lot of the place has been clad in some kind of paper mache. Next the platform over the lake unfortunately takes up the entire lake, so whilst the lake is still there it's almost impossible to see. However what you can see was covered in litter and clearly hadn't seen any sunlight in some time as the water had become quite green and didn't look very attractive.
However, we then had to balance our negative feelings about the venue with possibly the best service from a waiter we had our entire holiday. The food which he had recommended to us, not on the menu, was simply amazing. It's the first place in Turkey where we actually tried a dessert (we we're too full every time we ate, including this time, however the mains were so good we decided that the place to try some).
We were amongst the last to leave and whilst waiting for the free bus to take us back to Dalyan were offered free drinks which was a welcome gesture.
So the entertainment was fantastic and the food even better, but the lake obscured from view and disappointing. Hard to rate this one really!
