We stayed at Ida Costa Hotel for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is small with only 20 rooms, so you really feel privileged staying there. The building and garden are beautifully and architecturally arranged with natural stone build houses and beautiful walkways and flower beds. It feels very private and the garden ends at the sea where there is a private deck that gives access to the sea. The sea is extremely clear and so refreshing to swim in, just wonderful. The music choice is extremely stylish and played at an lovely low volume level.
The rooms are spacious and well-done, almost new. The bathroom is well equipped with a large walk-in shower.
The breakfast and dinner and abundant with many many choices and different kinds of bread. Very high quality so compliments to the chef. The dinner is served with meze as a starter and then a mid course, the choice of two mains and dessert. The wine is at an extra cost. Staff at dinner and breakfast is attentive and very friendly and pleasant.

What we found that could be improved:

* Airconditioning: even at the lowest speed of the fan it was blowing quite fiercely and if you'd sleep on the right side of the bed it was uncomfortable. Switching it off was also uncomfortable because the nights are warm.
* Noise: One evening we were rudely awakened by laughter and shouting of the people in the room below us. They invited guests from outside and had a coffee at their room. Normally it is forbidden to invite guests to the rooms, so I guess there was a slip of the pen.
* Food diversity at dinner: we had dinner 3 nights at the hotel and the food is very very good. The only thing was that the choice for main course was chicken or fish on all 3 evenings. Even though it was prepared in a different way, a bit more variation would be welcome. For the rest praise to the chef.
* Staff: the staff at the beach bar was a bit stressed. Even one of the ladies bursted out crying because she could not handle the pressure of running around. I guess they were a bit understaffed with all 20 rooms occupied and everyone ordering lunch around the same time. It meant that the staff started running from the beach bar to the kitchen while passing the guests on the chez-longs, which downgrades the peaceful environment.
* Towing the umbrellas: each morning the staff had to tow all the umbrellas from the beach to the breakfast area to provide for shade while having breakfast. That would imply that if you would have an early breakfast and then go to the beach you could end up having your chez-longs but no umbrella to protect you from the sun. This could be simply solved by placing a large sunscreen attached to the building in which the breakfast was served.

All in all we had an excellent stay and we would really recommend Ida Costa but because of the improvement points I could not give an 'excellent' rating.

Room Tip: We had room no. 24 which had a large balcony, was private and had sea view.

All employees should be able to speak English with foreign visitors. Apart from that Ida Costa is an excellent hotel. Food and the service in the restaurant and the cocktails in the bar is remarkably good.

Room Tip: Most rooms are on the seaside, a couple of rooms on the roadside are slightly cheaper.

We stayed at ida costa for two nights and the hotel was quite good and charming until we faced with the terribly slow and forgetful service.i.e.we ordered a burger and after twenty minutes time they came and stated that they ripped the cheque up so that they wanted us again to give the order.however in the end our order came in 50 minutes and at dinner again the same extra slow service showed us that the hotel is so new and they still need time to settle their services.but it should also be mentioned that the food was quite good but extras in the hotel are expensive compared to other boutique hotels in Assos region. You can enjoy using a big room, new towels and sun bath utilities but please get ready with the service dissappointment.

We stopped for only a night at Ida Costa since we were on a road trip with a tight schedule. We enjoyed our stay so much that it was disappointing not to be able to stay longer.

Everything about the hotel was spectacular. The service, the landscape, the cleanliness, etc. They have done a very good job with the rooms. Rooms are very spacious and private. All details are thought out, for example, on each room's patio there were drying racks for swim suits. Also the architecture is in harmony with the nature. The area is still very untouched and you appreciate the fact that they decided not to build a monstrous building in the middle of the nature.

The afternoon we arrived, we sat at the pier on the sun loungers. Because we went early in the season there weren't that many hotel guests, so we had the whole pier to ourselves which was nice. The water is very clean, you can see small fishes from the pier. They have also removed rocks and other things around the pier, so it's sandy at the bottom.

Overall it's very peaceful and relaxing hotel. The area adds to this as well. I recommend driving around to see the archeological sites, spend at least an afternoon at the small but very charming marina area. Go for trekking in Mount Ida, and check out the little villages around there. Although the hotel is isolated (which makes it a perfect getaway) there are things to do in the area for tourists.

This place is located near Assos - a destination well known for its nature but unfortunately the options for accommodation has always been limited. By coincidence, we ended up in Ida Costa on our way to south coast, which I understand was opened only few months ago, and stayed there for 3 nights. This was one of the most impressive facilities I have ever been to. The design of the garden and floral are impressive. The stone house are built to fit the surrounding and all details have been taken care in the rooms. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Because there are only 20 rooms, the guests felt exclusive. The food selection is very good, and on top of it, the cook is happy to offer alternative dishes on request. The hotel is also by the sea with a private deck. Highly classy hotel for those who are looking for a peaceful break.

Room Tip: I would recommend the garden rooms at the front row.
