“Totally relaxing holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Enjoyed a week at Kibala Hotel and came home totally relaxed. Excellent food, first class service, comfortable accommodation which was spotlessly clean and all in peaceful garden setting. If its peace and quiet you need with all of the above look no further.

Kibala Hotel is a magnificent place to stay. It feels like it's own private world- which in a way, it is. The rooms are individual bungalows, which are homey yet luxurious. There are pomegranate, orange, lemon and lime trees growing throughout the grounds, as well as several flowering bushes and plants all over. There's even two tree houses that you can easily access and hide away in to read a book or catch a nap.

The owner and staff are all very, very friendly and professional. The food though is the main event. Breakfast, served from 8-10:30, is the traditional Turkish spread with everything being very fresh as most of the produce I'm sure came from local gardens and is organically grown. Dinner, which is open to guests only, is a whole other story. Food is obviously an event in Turkish culture- and this is no exception. The ambiance is magical, to begin. Weather permitting you're seated outside under a covered patio with natural light brought by small oil lamps. Dinner is served one home made course at a time, and each dinner was unique and delicious. One night it was grilled fish caught fresh from the river, another night the main even was grilled chicken- no matter what it is it was lovingly prepared and presented. Dessert is always featured, and always delicious.

Kibala hotel is just a short walk down from the beach and other places to dine, drink, or shop. It's an easy place to stay and forget about the passage of time and a beautiful place to experience Turkey's southern coast.

Room Tip: Any room is perfect.

And it was excellent, big thank you to Bulent and his wonderful staff! It is difficult to add anything new to the previous reviews, bungalows in the garden give you a sense of privacy, very clean and have everything you need for a relaxing holiday by the sea.
Food (breakfast and dinner) is excellent, all home-made, most home-grown, don't even think of going out for the evening meal!
Cirali is a very small village with a huge beach and clean sea, and if you are after a stress-free, relaxing holiday this is the place to go. Very informal and laid-back, no discos, no loud music or drunken tourists, you can do as much or as little as you wish (some tours or sight-seeing can be organised).
We arranged a private taxi transfer from/to Antalya airport via Bulent and all went very smoothly, 50 EUROS each way for 2 people.
Tip: there are lots of cockerels in the village who do start making noise very early, so if you are a light sleeper you may consider bringing some ear plugs, but it’s so charming to hear them in the morning rather than an alarm clock!
We are really hopping to come back to Cirali and definitely will stay at Kibala, thank you Bulent!

We stayed at Kibala for 6 nights at the beginning of our Turkey holiday and it was just perfect, totally relaxing, laid back, gorgeous food and idyllic green and shady surroundings. We snoozed in the tree houses, swam in the sea every day (warm, claen and calm water) and slept really well. We borrowed the bikes early one morning to see the baby turtles, just hatched, which was incredible, and enjoyed the boat trip, seeing the bigger turtles in several coves. We ate at Kibala every night except one, the food is amazing, and lots of it. We can't wait to come back.

I loved the beautiful garden at kibala and also the treehouse where you can relax with a fantastic view on the mountains. Food is great, staff very friendly. Bungalows are very clean. It is not right on the beach, you have to walk 10 minutes (in the heat), but you can use the free bikes if you want. Also good location to visit the olympos ruins witch i can recommend ( because of their setting).

We visited Kibala (myself, my wife and two teenagers - 16 and 14 years old) in the hot, hot heat of August.

A typical day for us was:
Eat the delicious Kibala breakfast at about 9.30am
Lie in a hammock or sit in one of the tree houses and read a book.
Retire to our air-conditioned cabin and play cards or perhaps take a nap.
At about 4pm, cycle the 5 minute ride to the beach.
Spend about three hours lazing about under the umbrellas or swimming and snorkelling.
Cycle to Kaptan Cafe Bar (see my review) and sip a refreshing beer or smoothie.
Cycle back to Kibala, shower, then eat a delicious evening meal from about 9pm until 10.30pm.
Go to bed.
Wake up the next morning feeling refreshed.
Repeat.

Highlights:
Ness and Eliza - both so helpful, attentive, hard-working, funny and just lovely people - we miss you!
The food - we ate at Kibala every evening. The food, wine, atmosphere and music were superb.
Turtles - we got up at 6am, cycled to the beach and watched newly hatched turtles making their way to the beach. Something we'll never forget.
The boat trip - snorkelling in the secluded bays, with turtles, was amazing.

Last but not least, the owner Bulent, was great. He was always around, but generally in the background, making sure things at Kibala ran smoothly. Always on hand to answer questions, he organised our taxi to and from the airport and the boat trip too.

Email Bulent through Kibala's website to check dates are free, book your flights. That's it. We payed for our holiday on the morning we checked-out – Bulent had an itemised list of nights stayed, meals eaten, etc. Simple.

The reviews are correct. We loved Kibala and we'll be back.

James, Amy, Lily and Joe.

We had a brillant time again at Kibala's; this is our third visit and we love the setting and the service is very good. The food is amazing, the tree terraces beautiful to spend time in the shade. the beach is easily accessible. We will be back. Thanks a lot to the Kibala team for making this another wonderful holiday
