We stayed for three days two nights in early December. One night we stayed in room 406; the next in 404. Both rooms were beautifully appointed and had views. Room 406 had views over the city to the mountains; room 404 had city views. Both had balconies. Unfortunately the days that we were there we never saw the mountains. Fog smothered the views. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable few days in Sapa - mostly because of is wonderful hotel. Mr. David was an excellent host. He made you feel welcome the moment you entered. His staff were all warm and helpful. I couldn't imagine a better choice in this town. Yes, there are fancier hotels (I.e., the Victoria) with more amenities but this hotel is a lovely charmer. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
