“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW via mobile

We stayed for three days two nights in early December. One night we stayed in room 406; the next in 404. Both rooms were beautifully appointed and had views. Room 406 had views over the city to the mountains; room 404 had city views. Both had balconies. Unfortunately the days that we were there we never saw the mountains. Fog smothered the views. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable few days in Sapa - mostly because of is wonderful hotel. Mr. David was an excellent host. He made you feel welcome the moment you entered. His staff were all warm and helpful. I couldn't imagine a better choice in this town. Yes, there are fancier hotels (I.e., the Victoria) with more amenities but this hotel is a lovely charmer. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

I started communication with Mr David managing the hotel months before and always received prompt responses to our queries. The service was indeed 5 star throughout, Mr David and Mr Kim spoke good English and were always ready to help. We got them to arrange our tour package as well and was pleased to have a nice Hmong guide with us for the two days.

Other worthy-to-note merits of the hotel included its central position in town, the hoice of freeflow breakfast, especially the fresh juice and aromatic coffee, spacious room which was well heated, and came with full amenities, even bath robes. We had the first floor room which was convenient but did not have a view, I think there are some higher flloor rooms with a good view as well. The firendly hospitality, however, outweighs the limitation in views, we were happy to have chosen to stay in the hotel for our Sapa trip.

The hotel itself is in an excellent location - the heart of Sapa, overlooking the town. The view rooms are large, well equipped and well priced. Really outstanding views. Mr. David and Mr. Kim are the two really fine gentlemen who run the hotel and they are as helpful and accommodating as one can imagine. Both are full of local knowledge and speak English well. They can organize local tours - some may be a bit more expensive to organize but you can count on them. Super reliable. We lost power in the whole province one night but they quickly had candles out and fired up an emergency generator to cook an excellent hot pot dinner. View rooms (and maybe the other rooms) have computers - very handy - plus complimentary wine.. If I have one minor suggestion it would be to put a bit of decorative effort into the breakfast space and perhaps the breakfast itself. Nonetheless it's a good breakfast and I'd highly recommend the hotel in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: If memory serves me there are 3 (perhaps 4) rooms that are large, well equipped and, most uniquely...

The hotel was incredible. The rooms were warm, the location perfect and service was 5 star. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Due to the weather our plans changed and the staff were more than happy to change our schedule, arrange new tour guides and trekking routes. They also accommodated our early check in - after a long ride on the train it was great to get in early and have a shower. The breakfast was delicious - all you can eat food ordered fresh from the kitchen. And the location was perfect - The main market was less than 5 mins walk. It was off the main st, so less foot traffic outside, only about 20 meters from the main st. If I ever get the chance to go back to Sapa, I will definitely stay here.

The staff at this hotel could not have been more accommodating, we arrived early on the overnight train and they offered a day room to freshen up before checking into our room for the 3 nights.

We arranged a tour through the hotel to a couple of the local villages and my partner and I had Lisa all to ourselves which was great we weren't hassled at all while she was with us compared to the other groups I saw - we were so happy with ours!

As I said in the title I spent 7 weeks traveling Vietnam and Thailand and this hotel stands out as hands down the winner for service I cant rate it high enough.

Fantastic!

We stayed here for 2 nights in November and had a lovely stay. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (without being annoyingly so) - we booked a full day hike through the hotel and when we got back they sent up to the room some free drinks and cakes! Free cakes are of course always appreciated. The rooms, although not super modern are nicely decorated - the furniture is nice old, everything was clean and most importantly the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was a choice of cooked set menus: pho, pancakes, eggs, etc.. including some very yummy freshly squeezed juices. Location is smack in the centre of town, near shops and restaurants (The Viet Emotion restaurant has some very yummy dishes in the Vietnamese section of their menu). I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and it was pretty quite - there's no lift though, so it was a bit of a...
