“A small family hotel that you always find a welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

The Hotel is on the road to Cat Cat, not far from the Sapa center (a short walk on a easy slope). We signed in due to happenstance, it was a happy accident.

This is a family run hotel, it has fans not air conditioning, only some rooms have views, and a few VIP rooms at the top are richly decorated. Wifi operates on all floors, there is a bar fridge and a nice bathroom. The place is very clean and well kept.

The staff are friendly, helpful and kind. what I liked was the relaxed atmosphere, the hotel seemed an extension of the home. It was good to come back to and easy to fit in with. Basically what I desire when travelling is a no-fuss welcoming haven -- I don't fit into luxury accommodation at all, in fact I find that extremely uncomfortable.

When it came to sorting out travel, all was done quickly and efficiently, it is an entirely pleasant experience staying at this hotel.

Restaurants near and far, a profusion of them. Scooter rentals across the street, and easy walk tot he city center and the lake and Dragon Mountain. Cat Cat village is a few kilometers down the road. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the cheapest style of room, which was still around $40 a night... Expensive for Vietnam! The other reviews are so good I was a little surprised at our room; it was large but at the back and smelled strongly of cinnamon?

After checking in I noticed an incense candle and turned it off, the cinnamon smell lessened. At this point the smell of the bathroom overtook everything, to the point of not being able to shower and breathe due to it. There were at least 4 air fresheners in the room so I assume they know of the problem but choose not to do anything?

As well as the smelly room, everything feels damp, the room was dark and the family who live below loud. Although the front desk service is fantastic and the breakfast nice, I couldn't get over the smell.

I think the higher priced rooms are nice but would not recommend staying here in the budget option.

We arranged for a tour through the hotel, so we got an extra breakfast when we arrived in the morning (very tasty), an upgrade to the VIP room (very spacious with a wonderful view!), and a room to shower in after checkout the next day. Staff was really friendly and helpful. We were asked to leave muddy shoes at the door, and they were cleaned promptly. The tour guide spoke good English and was a pleasant companion throughout the day. Thank you Neu!

The staff here were so attentive and accommodating - we arrived at about 6.30am blurry eyed from the night bus from Hanoi and were greeted with delicious cinnamon tea and were able to check in straight away which was great given how tired we were and that it was a rainy, chilly morning.

The room was spacious and very clean with a good size double bed, TV and a even a computer! Bathroom was also pretty roomy and I was a big fan of the shower - good water pressure and nice and hot!!

The breakfast was great, there were several options to choose from the menu and everything we tried was great, particularly the pancakes and the pho!! Again the were very accommodating and were happy to serve us something quick and early before we left for a day trip.

We checked out of our room that morning before our day trip and were allowed to store our luggage at the hotel and even take a shower and freshen up after the trip later than evening at the hotel before leaving for our night bus.

Overall a wonderful stay and excellent staff/service!

Room Tip: Worth paying for the mountain view room if the weather forecast is good

Hotel staff are very nice, keep in mind that the hotel doesn't offer new facilities - all room and public areas are dated, and the furniture, decoration, curtains and sanitary ware are not new.

Rooms have a musty odor, are not super clean and the balcony, if you payed for one - is not that private, can be accessed by anyone.
Hotel rooms are facing the street - lots of noise in the morning of horn honking by trucks and buses trying to pass one another in a very narrow and busy street.
By facing the street, lower floor rooms will have their mountain view obscured as well...

The hotel offers trips and transportation at a slightly higher price than normal.

Breakfast is nice with a choice of noodle soup (sometimes served with the waiter's long fingernail inside) / pancakes / bread+eggs, although coffee and fresh juices tends to run out most of the time, with patience you can get your refill..

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two daughters in rooms next to each other. The rooms are clean and very spacious and the view from our's was breathtaking through a very large picture window. The standard rooms are all family rooms that include a queen bed and two large singles and an absolute bargain for the price! The free breakfast was lovely and the staff cannot do enough for you. The service at this hotel is outstanding and very thoughtful. They organised all our transport to and from the train station and allowed us to stay in a room all day for a very small price so we didn't have to wander the streets in the rain on our last day. The location is great and you are able to walk everywhere in Sapa. Highly recommend this place especially for families.

I stayed here for 1 night. Arrived early at 7am and was given early check- in 30 minutes later. The cinnamon apple tea was delicious in the front desk. Free breakfast was served buffet style for fruit and drinks and they take your order for the entrees. Room is clean and well kept. We had shuttle service from the hotel to train station and vice versa for $3/person. Albeit a little more (50 cents) more than independent contractors where you would see asking you as you get off the Lao Can station but having the peace of mind of a guaranteed ride was great.
